This very good article shows that USA Presidents have already made the same mistake that Obama is making. The Libya invasion is completely wrong and the extension of our involvement in Afghanistan is foolish. The key paragraph is this one:
But it is well to revisit this disaster not to assign blame anew but to recall John Quincy Adams’s cautionary advice: America “does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.”
Why are we going out in search of enemies to fight? Stop the war in Afghanistan. Stop the war on the Libyan people.
