The one thing that bothers me today is the overwhelming coverage by Google, Yahoo, Bing, and the Internet news media with the theme among all of them that one sentence in the presidential show last night was the clincher and Donald Trump has definitely lost any chance of being elected. Maybe I am an optimist, maybe I am a realist, but I do not think that the election is over until the election is over. The public media campaign from the very beginning has been that Mr. Donald Trump, a successful businessman, is not able to be President because he is not a politician.
Yes, I know that many readers will immediately take exception to that capsule statement. But boiled down to essentials, it is the key element in all main street media statements about Donald Trump. So, one can only wonder at the collective psychology that produced such unanimous opinion over so many weeks. Of course, the proponents of this political strategy will say that the cause is Mr. Trump himself. As one liberal headline read, “We told you and we warned you, but you wouldn’t listen!” I can only reply, “Wow”, does that liberal want to tell Trump supporters, who he has trashed for weeks an ignorant, backwoods, redneck, uneducated, deplorable… does he want, now , to shout that all along he cared for Republicans, or Trump supporters, or the nation. Not true!–fact check– not true. Such crowing hubris is nothing more than self-congratulatory pride masquerading as sincere love for people and country.
Well, we will see. People like me will vote for Trump. And if we lose we may just shut down, and drop out. Hey that would be interesting.
