We are who and what we are.
President Trump is a New Yorker. That is evident in his talk. His lingo is “what the hell?” And “get outta here ” and “forget about it” and “you gotta be kidding me”
All of these and others are idiomatic to people from New York. Are these phrases elegant? Do they soar to rhetorical heights? Are they the stuff of Keats or Byron or Shelly? Obviously, not!
But they are real. They are genuine. And they come from the heart of the speaker who is communicating very directly with the hearts of his audience.
Washington snobs and arrogant media pundits may look down their noses in shocked disapproval. But people, the people of the earth, yes! those who actually work for a wage, they approve and they applaud him.
Why? Not because they are Deplorables or Irredeemable. Rather, they are citizen voters who dared to hope that, finally, they had elected a man who would respect them and who would honor his promises.
Donald John Trump is who he is. He is authentic. He is visceral. He understands the world of workers and unions. His task in life is to get the job done.
Is he a small minded man? Not at all. Is he boring? No! Is he little minded? That is absurd !!
Rather, DJT is a man of grand vision and panoramic sight. He dreams beyond the ordinary dream because he sees beyond the limitations of the ordinary.
American citizen voters had almost given up. Their frustrations and disappointment created the TEA, the Taxes Enough Already movement. It was a groundswell Of popular discontent.
But the TEA populist movement was hijacked by careerist politicians like Jordan Amash who saw in it a tidal wave to power but who themselves despised the people of the movement.
Disappointed that their movement had been hijacked, the citizen voters regrouped and sought someone who would represent their cause.
Amazingly, they chose Donald John Trump-a billionaire!! Why and how? Only history will reveal. But chose him they did. And he accepted their designation.
He was a former Democrat. He was a billionaire. He was a “man about town.” He was divorced and remarried. His children were from three wives. He was bold, and brash. And when confronted with the mechanics of power, his responses were beyond bold. Donald John Trump was a warrior-a gladiator. A fighter who would replace the corrupt career politicians and give the maligned citizen voters their champion.
