Yesterday, a commentator said that we must guarantee that we open USA economy safely. He went on to say that people must be safe and until government can guarantee safety, we must remain closed.
There is no safe! Everything we do involves risk and risk is not safety. Walking, driving, playing golf, swimming, getting married, traveling- even doing nothing is not safe.
There is a propaganda trick revealed by the Nazi Joseph Goebels, “Tell the people a lie often enough and they will believe it to be true.“ The present situation that declares that we can make life safe is fundamentally false. But fear wants an excuse for itself and so it buys the notion of being able to make life safe. In fact, I just heard an airline commercial saying that masks and hand sanitizer will make their people safe. But is that true, if the engine fails or the pilot has a heart attack or an terrorist missile is fired at the plane?
The concept that we are able to open our economy safely is not meaningful. Yet, it is repeated by media leaders, advertisers and even Pastors, Priests and other social leaders. Why do they repeat it? It’s because they too believe in the idea of safety and are unwilling to venture beyond the latest propaganda lest they are criticized. It is not safe to be criticized.
The answer? It is to think. It is to be analytical toward what we are told. It is to reject the false ideas presented to us as truth. For instance, we hear a lot about “settled science.” That statement is by definition false because science of its nature is never settled, it is always questioning, exploring, evaluating and improving upon what is “settled “.
As we think and continue to develop our thinking, we will improve ourselves and our situation, thereby, freeing ourselves from suppressive propaganda that takes away our freedom and enslaved us to fear.
