Should the UN intervene in Syria. Obviously, as some have pointed out about the situation in Libya, the Syria leader is a dictator. He is brutal in repression of his people. He has torture chambers. He has decimated cities. The reports so far are numbering above one thousand innocent civilians killed, thousands more arrested and whole urban populations surrounded by the Army. Yet, no Security Council resolution? No French and British, Canadian and USA demand for NATO bombs and USA Cruise missile attacks? So, let’s see! The Libyan situation was worse? I think not. Or, the Libyan dictator was more brutal. No? Oh, it must be that the Libyan civilian population is more worthy of foreign intervention via NATO and the Syrians are not? (Are Syrian civilian dead less valuable than Libyan civilian dead?) Or maybe there is no ready-made French and British dominated government in exile residing in London or Paris? Or maybe the foreign oil companies are not interested in Syrian oil fields? So, what is it about selective foreign military intervention that makes the Libyan foray legitimate and any other is suspect? Some would say that the UN which is a peace keeping institution has to first okay foreign nations who want to war against other member nations? Does that make UN a world government? What about the rule of law. Does the rule of Law apply to War between the sovereign governments ( that usually includes dictatorships< surprise surprise>!) or does the rule of law apply only to some countries and not others? In the case of the USA, the silence of the Congress on the deployment of USA military assets into the war against Libya is troubling. Estimates are the war cost the US taxpayers one billion dollars. What did it cost Canada? What did Germany pay? What about Russia, or Australia? Is only the USA the moral policeman and the beleaguered US taxpayer the only ones who must pay up for wars to free the poor down trodden people of South West Asia (the USA military designation for the areas involved).? The moral case can be made for UN intervention in many places. This writer is completely in favor of the defeat of brutal dictatorships wherever they are to be found. None the less, the argument made in these posts concerns the serendipitous pursuit of illogical and capricious foreign policy. I am a citizen of the USA so my opinions regarding Sarkozy and Cameroon are those of an outsider, although under the rubrics of critics they would be allowed under the concepts of one world order. However, the main concerns are: US foreign adventurism by the USA administration; the lack of USA Congressional authority for the deployment and use of USA military assets in the obvious pursuit of war by one sovereign State against another, (the UN does not have authority to okay US deployment of weapons of Mass destruction ( that is not only nuclear bombs but includes Cruise Missiles, A-10 anti personnel aircraft); UN mandate or no, the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance fare exceeded the UN resolution 1973 when it (as the Brits said) “…pursued the obvious extension and logical conclusion of resolution 1973…which is the defeat and destruction of the Gaddafi Government…” By the way this writer was in the US Army for thirty years and has witnessed the lethal nature of bombs, missiles and the A10. These are not exact (pin point) weapons. When they are used they may indeed hit the target but the blow up effect is wide and in the case of the bombs and missiles anyone within thousands of feet to the impact area would be killed or at the least very seriously injured. Since the UN okayed the effort and NATO launched at least five hundred missile attacks and thousands of bomb runs and thousands of strafing attacks, are we to suppose that zero civilians were killed?

Puppet Masters
The Libyan situation is playing out like a very well orchestrated puppet show. But who are the puppet masters. We know about Sarkozy, Obama, Cameron. But what about the back room players. How did these three get away with toppling the Legally recognized government of Libya. (This writer acknowledges the dictatorship and to be revealed horrors of the regime) but there are plenty of others and we are not yet waging a United Nations backed “war of civilian protection” against these regimes. So who are the unseen players? What did they contribute the this “peacekeeping” war. And what do they intend to get out of it. This is surprized at the open display of leftist organizations and international organizations claiming to be for human rights. Who was it that was immediately present in Tripoli to search for and reveal the alleged cooperation of former governments with the Libyan regime? Why are these organizations very anxious to produce allegations against former leaders? We know of the French connect. We also witness the Murdock scandal implicating Cameron and the London riots. Now we have Obama in trouble with the electorate. Would a hulabaloo scandal against the former regimes of of England and USA work to the “surprize” advantage of these warmongers. In England we already have the announcement of an investigation into the ties of the former government and Libya, sort of a real quick play to throw the dirt of the other guy and divert attention from the Cameron troubles. What will be next. You can expect a revisit to the former USA administration and the return of the Liberal shout that all of the USA problems were caused by Bush.
Obama Falls in the Polls.
No one is saying Obama is a bad person. Nor that is is not a good husband and father. The key issue is that his agenda is the wrong one for America. And his agenda is part of his creed. He actually believes that he should apologize for America. Instead of helping us to remain strong economically, he has wasted our resources on failed programs. A strong USA is a blessing to under developed nations. A vibrant US economy is a help to struggling nations. A healthy US economy is a buyer of the goods and services for sale by others. When we buy their goods we put food on their table as well as feed our economic engine. So let us not paint all critics of the Obama administration as Obama haters. Sure there are some who will not see any good in the man. They are wrong. None the less, Obama cannot change his core belief that America is just another nation among a world of nations. In a classroom philosophy class that may be true. But he is the President of the USA and such a belief is not the right one.
Libyan Rebels Okay with Anti Black Racism
Also Wednesday, Amnesty International urged Libya’s rebels to end attacks against black Libyans and sub-Saharan Africans, saying fighters engaging in such abuse should be detained and investigated. Amnesty said its delegation in Tripoli had witnessed a number of incidents in which the rebels detained or abused black hospital patients. The rebels have often targeted dark-skinned foreigners, suspecting them of being sub-Saharan mercenaries hired by the Gadhafi regime.

Anti White Racism by US Congressman is okay?
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/rep-andré-carson-tea-party-members-congress-want-142624474.html
This is not political speech. This is anti white racism. But I guess liberal/progressives are okay with it because it is anti white. Strange really, because most liberal/progressives are white. I guess they are okay with it because they think the attack is against the “other” white meat.
Libyans on Wednesday wept over the graves of those killed in their six-month war against Moammar Gadhafi, then celebrated their newfound freedom with morning prayers and joyous chants in the capital’s main square — bittersweet rituals marking the start of a major Muslim holiday
The prayer leader urged the crowd not to seek retribution against Gadhafi loyalists. “No to revenge, yes to the law that rules between us and those who killed our brothers,” he said. “Let there be forgiveness and mercy among us.”
Wednesday marked the start of the three-day holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which caps the holy fasting month of Ramadan. The start of the holiday is determined by the sighting of a new moon, and several countries in the Arab world started marking the holiday on Tuesday. Morning visits to cemeteries are part of the Eid al-Fitr tradition across the region
Why do the secular news reporters always talk about the “holy” prayers, the Mosque worship, and give extensive explanation of Muslim religious festivals. Yet, these same secular reporters insist on a strict separation of Church and State in the US and on the major Christian holy days in the USA we read about the Santa Claus and the Easter bunny? Are the Muslims worthy of respect for their religion but USA Christians are to be barely tolerated?
Obama and His Secret War Against Libya
Obama is a President who does whatever he wants to do, including involvement in a full war against Libya without congressional approval, without a declaration of war and without wide public support. How does he do it? Read the article and weep for our democracy which is being under mined by its President! It is very well presented in this article.
Parochial Versus Public Schools
http://news.yahoo.com/ind-vouchers-prompt-thousands-change-schools-170216446.html
The inference of this article is that parents are choosing Roman Catholic Schools instead of Public schools for reasons of religion. Others would say that the parents are choosing the Roman Catholic schools because of the potential for a better education for their children at the Christian schools. What do you think?
Obama Regime Must be Replaced
http://news.yahoo.com/obamas-legacy-failed-recovery-double-dip-recession-052627528.html
It is time for regime change and the place is Washington, DC. As this very fair and insightful article tells us, all of the ideologically motivated “changes” of the Obama Administration have damaged the USA. Why?
1. The Obama Administration was from the very first, an ideologically motivated administration. That of itself is not surprising since most elections are about ideas. a. However, the Obama administration has plenty of ideas but no experience in governing a nation. b. The ideas of Mr. Obama and his appointees were hidden under benign liberal slogans like, “hope and change” but were actually revolutionary Maoists, socialist, egalitarian, and even in some forms communist political philosophies. c. Others may have had the same ideas but the Obama administration actually tried to implement them with the aid and protection of a main stream news media that covered up all facts and fed the American people carefully selected pabulum. ( this was ridiculously illustrated by the reporting that Mr. Obama was “losing sleep” (poor baby) over the debt debate and recently was forced to curtail his Cape Cod luxury vacation because of Hurricane Irene. ( I wonder if he was afraid to bail water at the multi million dollar mansion in which he resided?) Folks, the main stream press, as you know, actually reported these items to get our sympathy for our President!
2. The Obama administration has not presented any plan for the economic recovery of America. instead they have passed that off to the Republicans in Congress. It seems that they have reversed the tried and true axiom of our government, namely, that the President proposes and the Congress disposes. (Maybe the President has never graduated from the Illinois Senate?)
3. The President actually thinks that the identification of the problem is the entire scope of his job and that the rest of the government is supposed to come up with the solution. Okay! But when they do come up with the solution, such as the numerous Republican legislative proposals, he has his henchman Harry Reid say, Dead on Arrival in the Senate and if that fails, he tells the problems solvers that he will veto their efforts. And he does all of this while going on record saying that we need more cooperation and collaboration in Washington.
4. Lastly, and this is simply my personal pet peeve…I do not think that Barrack Hussein Obama likes America. Oh, yes, he likes Air Force One. He uses it as his personal private plane while at the same time criticizing corporate executives for using private company jets. Oh, yes, he likes the massive serving staff of the White House, that caters to his whims ( as they did for other Presidents) but Obama at the same time tells us to stop eating at fast food restaurants, and to tighten our belts and learn to give up our perks and share the wealth…all the while he luxuriates in the splendors of the perks we lavish on our Presidents…and all the while, I believe, he doesn’t even like us.
There is a solution to all of this. It comes in November 2012 when the citizens of this great nation should tell Mr. Obama, “Thanks, but no thanks.” Give him his pension and get him out of the White House before he completely destroys the nation we love and he doesn’t even like.
Brits Play Role in Killing Supporters of Gaddafi
British aircraft fired cruise missiles at a headquarters bunker overnight in Gaddafi’s birthplace of Sirte. A city beyond rebel control, on the Mediterranean coast 450 km (300 miles) east of Tripoli, some believe he might seek refuge there among his tribesmen. Loyalist forces also still hold positions deep in the Sahara desert. “Sirte remains an operating base from which pro-Gaddafi troops project hostile forces against Misrata and Tripoli,” a NATO official said, adding that its forces had also acted to stop a column of 29 vehicles heading west toward Misrata. In Benghazi, rebel military spokesman Ahmed Bani said the bombing in Sirte was aimed at ammunition stores and depots for Scud missiles. “Maybe the mercenaries will run away,” he said, referring to suggestions Gaddafi’s forces include hired fighters from Chad and other sub-Saharan African countries. “After this bombing, maybe the people there will try to rise up.” he added, saying TNC commanders were also in contact with tribal chiefs in Sirte, hoping to avoid bloodshed. Such negotiations will be a major challenge across the country for Libya’s new rulers as they try to meet expectations of young men now bearing arms and to heal ethnic, tribal and other divisions that have been exacerbated by civil war. This writer asks your indulgence as he screams objection to the wholesale killing tactics of the NATO military alliance. There is just no way any reasonable person can say that innocent civilians are not being slaughtered wholesale by the powerful cruise missiles that NATO is using to bomb the free people of SIRTE into submission. It does not matter to NATO that the free people of Sirte do not want the European imposed Rebel government. Rate this: Rate This Share this: Share Like this: Like Be the first to like this post.
