http://shine.yahoo.com/love-sex/tender-photos-unearthed-turbulent-time-235100316.html This story says all that needs to be said. I had never heard of the Lovings, but I read their story today. It is a beautiful story of people in love and people who for that love will give to each other and stand up against those who get in the way of that love. Wonderfully, it is a “loving” story. Yes there is racism. Yes, there is stupidity. And yes, there is cruelty. But the Lovings are the real story. The others who acted against them are best discounted in favor of a positive approach and a grateful one. The Lovings show us all how to love. I love it.

Romney and Republicans Can Fatally Shoot Each Other
http://news.yahoo.com/romney-parks-millions-offshore-tax-haven-160547876–abc-news.html It seems to this writer that the biggest danger for the Republican party is its self-destruction. At first, all of the debates and the interchanges were hum drum and boring. As time went on, the debates became interesting and there was a hearty and good interchange of thoughts. However, the Iowa vote lead to destructive criticism between the candidates. Now, this has evolved into a full shooting war of personal criticism against the Republican front-runner. The criticism includes his success as a venture capitalist.–Is success as a businessman and creator of jobs considered a deficit? Well, the media pundits including conservatives seem to think it is! The attacks continue against Romney’s generosity to his religion. It seems that the pundits want to uncover some nefarious Mormon conspiracy by their use of innuendo. Additionally, we see the Anti Romney forces unleashing a smear attack like OWS against Romney’s intelligent use of the USA tax code to preserve his money. The idea here is that millionaires like Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, NJ Senator Frank Lautenberg, Congressman Daryl Issa are all OK but millionaire Mitt Romney is some kind of Darth Vader figure to be considered dangerous to the American political system. Add to all of this the obvious disdain of conservative talk show hosts who only vaguely cover their anti Romney bias, and one wonders WHY? a man like Mitt Romney, a person of such obviously admirable accomplishments -why? he would want to subject himself to such burn and pillage tactics from his rivals!!? I guess he believes he is the right man for the job of President of the USA. The others do too. However, their collective self-destruction is being played out on the TV daily. The only beneficiary is Obama. It can be hoped that the Republicans can right the ship but like the Captain of the Concordia they may be more interested in waving to relatives onshore than protecting the safety of the Republican party.
New Science Discovery
Wonderful discovery. Whenever we can advance our knowledge it is good. Interesting that the newest discoveries can change long held truth to a newer and sometimes completely different truth. In human history we allowed for God as the “rational/faith” response to the unknown. That is still a good idea. Not in order to stop investigation but to act as the bridge between what we have discovered and what we have not yet discovered. The idea of God is an idea of rationality against irrationality. The idea of God points to purpose and order in the presence of what seems chaotic and beyond reason. I especially like the idea that the more we know the more we know that we do not know. And in reading Donald Rumsfeld’s book, I like his idea about “…not knowing what we do not know.” Sounds counterinuitive, but if we cannot even conceive of something, then we cannot name it, and if we cannot put a “thing” into some symbolic form, (like language) then we do not know what “it” “is” that we do not know. All of this is premised on the idea that there even is an “it” which “is”. All of this can meaningfully be attributed to the workings of the God whom we know and whom we know that we do not know. And Yes, this is not goobly gook talk. It is philosophical and even theological reflection on the wonderful new discovery of our scientists. Hooray. I love it.
Hedge Fund Manager Thinks We Should Spend
http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/breakout/barton-biggs-austerity-big-mistake-124734101.html
I note that he is a manager of a hedge fund. A Hedge Fund manger is Bernie Maddoff, or the guy who just got 11 years in prison for shady dealing, or his accomplish who is also under indictment. What makes the media people think that a gambler, even an informed gambler is credible for national monetary policy? Geither was from Wall Strret,(remember he didn’t pay his taxes?)so was Paulson and Volcher. What did they get us but a lot of bailout, a lot of national debt and deeper into financial turmoil. Yes, the hedge fund managers make mistakes and then they ask the taxpayer, and I mean the middle class taxpayer to bail them out. Hedge fund managers are gambling that they are better at guessing then the rest of the pack and that they can cash out as soon as the water is boiling. The Fed, the USA, and you and I don’t have that “big boy” “insider” luxury. Maybe a solution to our problems is more federal regulation of hedge funds, a vehicle for the wealthy and super rich anyway, yes, maybe abolish the hedge fund gamble all together.
Libya and Gaddalfi 10/26 by JCHenry | Blog Talk Radio
Interpol and Gadalfi
http://news.yahoo.com/gadhafi-son-denies-interpol-allegations-170354685.html
I have gotten a lot of flak for my defense of the Libyan Government. And YES it is still the Libyan government recognized, until France and Britain and the USA waged wage against it, bombed its cities and its citizens into submission and imposed its own Paris based (read the history of these guys.please) puppet goverment it yes, I am disgusted by the lemming nature of USA people to buy into the propaganda of the news media. For instance, the media says it found the grave of one thousand convicts slain by the Libyan government but this is not affirmed by the International Red Cross and other agencies, therefore in admissible ..hey fair is fair…Cameron and Sarkozy have the gall to fly to Libya in a show of victory over the legal government of Libya…how did they win, they won by deception and conspiracy with the United Nations to save the civilians of Libya while they actually used the cover of resolution 1973 to wage brutal illegal aggression against Libya and bombed and destroyed the cities and roads and infrastructure of a modern Libya, WHY…OIL, OIL, OIL..Get real… And the Western secular governments of France and Britain and the USA have used every “legal” tactic to dis credit the legal Libyan government of Gadalfi…hey, I am NOT a fan of the man, but facts are facts, and this writer does not buy the propaganda of lazy lamestream media reporters who never leave their safe hotels rather they report from the drinking bar…get real folks that is what is happening…And now, we have foolish Senator Mc Cain running to Libya on the American taxpayers back and having him proclaim that we, (translated to mean the American Taxpayer) must be committed to the so-called revolutionary government …(translate that to mean that the US Congress is going to send billions of US tax dollars to Libya). Now maybe, if the billions of US tax dollars could be shown to feed the hungry and clothe the naked and house the homeless, Okay! But let’s get real. The billions will be used to increase the bank accounts of the new rulers of Libya and fill their Paris based coffers with American gold while we in USA are jobless and under Obama, becoming homeless.
Herman Cain for President
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/cain-nearly-quit-campaign-florida-straw-poll-says-115734617.html
I don’t have much money, but I would willing to contribute it to the Cain campaign for President. Hey, I’m white and he ‘s black. Just put that in here for the too many people who says things are racially motived. Why do I even mention it because I am honest and want to put things out on the table because too many are not willing to use the “color” word and the USA is going into the “can” because of it. Mr. Cain, as the article notes, is an accomplished, educated, intellectual with credentials that do him and the nation well. I like his candor, I like his Moxie, I like his ideas, and I like his plan for America. Personally, I am for Romney, but I am listening to Herman Cain and the more I hear, the more I like. He is fun. He is refreshingly candid and transparently honest and he just might be the leader we need for President.
Obama Jobs Speech is Phony
http://news.yahoo.com/obama-slams-republicans-west-coast-money-swing-042354630.html
We keep reading about the President going here and there aboard Air Force One. These are not affairs of State. All reporters acknowledge that the travels are political fund-raisers and that the trips are getting millions of dollars for the re-election campaign of the President. Fine. However, the American Taxpayer should not pay for the political activities of the President. How much does one round trip to California cost? I understood that one round trip to California cost 56o thousand dollars. Well, I do not the Prez. to go unprotected, but since these are fundamentally political campaign trips I think that the Congress should demand that the Democrat party pay the bill. After all, it is Obama who is constantly criticizing the corporate executives for using company Jets for legitimate business purposes, saying that the CEO of Ford, and Kellogg, and Johnson and Johnson should fly first class or coach on public aircraft. Okay! What is good for one is good for the other. The President should be severely limited in the use of Air Force One and required to prove that his use of the Jet is not for private or political gain but is used for the legally mandated affairs of State. Otherwise, he can still use the Jet, its crew, the Secret Service, the Cook, the Maid, the Valet and all the rest, but the Democrat party must pay the bill, immediately before the trip and not after. That is all we need, a late bill to the Democrat party, which, they will claim is Bush’s fault and therefore they are not responsible and cannot pay. And one more thing, the President has given speeches for several weeks now that the Republicans must pass his jobs bill. Well, if you note, today was the first day that the actual written bill was presented to the Congress. How can the Congress even discuss a Bill they have not even seen. The Obama White House needs to have a remedial lesson in how to get legislation passed. It starts with writing the Bill. It continues with submitting the Bill. Then the Administration is supposed to send its experts and analysts to Congress to explain the bill and then defend it. Without all of this constitutionally mandated process, there is no bill and therefore the Congress is prevented by Obama and his administration from passing anything. Why? BECAUSE WITHOUT A BILL THERE IS NOTHING TO PASS. It is all phony Obama. Sad really!
Palestine UN Bid
palestinians-submit-un-statehood-bid-155612081
Bravo! Congratulations! Just do it! This is the writer’s initial response to the Palestinian bid for recognition. However, I think that trying to negotiate based upon the 1967 borders is just not possible. Nonetheless, the Palestinian have suffered enough from the Arab world and the West. A story from the Past– In 1971 I was privileged to make a trip to Lebanon. It was a scholarship thing. Anyway! I went to the beautiful “Zürich” on the mediterranean city of Beirut. It was a cosmopolitan city. But it had a dark underside, in the form of refugee camps of Palestinian people living in the center of Beirut behind chain linked fences. It is a long story based upon a Christian Baptism in a little Christian Church which was just outside the refugee camp fence. Anyway! I asked my host, Dennis, why the refugees were locked behind the fences and living in canvas tents? He told me that the Arab governments of the surrounding States refused to take these people into their own nations, instead using them as political pawns in the Arab game of Chess against Jewish Israel. Then Dennis startled me with his next statement, “The people who, during the baptism, are shouting at you from behind those fences, they are the children of refugees who came here after the establishment of the State of Israel. They were born in these fetid camps!”
Imagine being the child of good and honest Palestinian refugees. Children born in Refugee tents because the surrounding Arab States refused to admit you. But imagine, that the Imams and the Muslin Arab leaders had used Josef Goebbels tactics to convince you that you impoverished conditions was due to those damned Jews in Israel!! Incredible.
It really does blow the Western, American mind away!!
The Palestinian people, betrayed by the British and the French in WW II, and Betrayed by the USA, and most grievously betrayed by their own Arab Moslem neighbors, most certainly have a right to representation in the UN. After all, we let the French NATO alliance wage war against the legal government of Libya in order to install a French/British puppet government in Tripoli!! When will the USA stand fast against the resurgent Paris/London Imperialist Colonialism?
Republican Debate
The debate tonight was refreshing. The Republican party is the party of ideas. The Dems may try to tag the Repubs as the party of “no” but this is true only in so far as they are gutsy enough to say NO to wild-eyed, chicken little Dems who think that throwing money at a problem will make the problem go away. Tonight’s debate once again showed the Republican candidates in the light they deserve, namely, the light of their own beliefs, statements and planned programs. Actually, Romney is the only candidate who has put forth a written, concrete, identifiable and investigative plan for the economy and growth of jobs. That shows his courage, his leadership and his qualification to be President for such a time as this. As this writer listened to the debate, my wife said, “I wish that we could have a piece of each one of the candidates.”. I was moved in my core by this astute and deep observation. The political process is that one of the candidates will win, after all, we cannot have eight Presidents. Yet, we need eight Presidents. each of the Republican candidates tonight spoke eloquently in putting forward their vision for America. If only we could distill all of their wonderful and enthusiastic love for America into one ideal person. Sadly, that is not realistic. However, the fact that tonight was so inspiring and that each one of the candidates would equally, as President, love and lead America to a better and brighter future. Well that was what? It was good!
