I really appreciate this article from the children who were eyewitnesses of the things that happened that day. This is really must reading on several levels.
Firstly, Those kids were brave and as the writer says, they understood that something terrible was wrong but the President stayed clam and so did they.
Secondly, It tells us that our children really are very capable of handling and processing bad news, IF, again I say, IF, the adults remain calm and show the children that the children themselves are safe.
Third, and this is a very sad one, one of which I, as an American, am ashamed, The notation from the kids that Michael Moore is idolized while President bush is vilified. I am ashamed of it because so many superficial media people perpetuated the political lie that President Bush was befuddled, confused and as they liked to say, “Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.”
Fourthly, it teaches us not to belittle President Obama or any President because it belittles ourselves. Nonetheless, we can and we should disagree with our President if we think he is wrong and if our disagreement is not resolved, then we vote him/her out of office at the earliest possible time.
