Obama Administration’s Foolish About Benghazi

http://news.yahoo.com/libya-militia-linked-u-attack-returns-benghazi-141851547.html

The Obama administration is the reason for the continued terrorist success in Libya.  Why?  Because Obama backed the rebel insurgents and terrorist Islamists who fought against Gaddafi. Using the romantic notion that all the Islamic countries needed was a breath of fresh Spring air, Obama ignited and then supported what has become a nightmare of terror for Libya, Egypt, and Syria.

A glaring fault of the Obama administration’s worldview is directly attributable to the President.  He seems to think that simply forcing an autocratic government out of power will automatically produce a grass-roots movement akin to the American Revolution of 1776.  However, the governments of Libya and Syria are autocratic for a vast array of social, ideological and tribal reasons.  The leadership of these regions, like that in Iraq and Iran is based on powerful clan and tribal allegiances.  These forces produced the autocratic governments, perpetuated them in existence and reinforced their continuation into this era.  The obvious breakdown of Libya and Iraq into competing tribal and clan factions, each at war with the other over land, influence and Islam, is evidence of the correctness of this analysis.  Yet, the Obama administration, its State department and the CIA that serves him, followed an amateurish plan based on romantic notions of hope and change.

Surprisingly, it is Vladimir Putin who is the voice of a seasoned and reasonable national policy regarding the Mid Eastern nations in general and Libya and Syria in particular.  Putin was betrayed during the illegal aggression against Libya which was carried out by Obama, Cameron, and Sarkozy.  In conjunction with the Belgians, these three leaders had gotten United Nations permission to protect rebels forces fighting against a member of the UN (Libya).  But the UN resolution 1973 was then used by these leaders as a cover under which they engaged their nations in criminal aggression against the legal government of Gaddafi, a government, which until his murder by the rebels, was recognized by 103 nations as the legal government of Libya.  The criminal aggression was carried out by bombing, and strafing the legal army of Libya by NATO forces.  It was carried out by the use of 213 USA cruise missiles fired against the legal army and government of Libya by NATO.  The illegal aggression was carried out by the use of USA Special Forces personnel on the ground in Libya who aided the rebels, guided the bombing raids, and spotted for the missile attacks.  The entire affair enraged Putin because it was illegal under International law.  But the powerful Belgians, French, English and Americans were never called accountable.  Instead, the puppet press of the Obama administration depicted the Libyan aggression as a war of freedom against tyranny.

Evidence of confiscated weapons shipments by Russia to the Syrian government of Assad, seems to indicated that the Russians are doing legally what the USA did illegally.  How so?  The Syrian government, like the Libyan government of Gaddafi, has an internationally recognised right of self-defense against all enemies foreign and domestic.  By the way, it is illegal, regarded as treason, and punishable by death, if a citizen or group of USA citizens attempts to overthrown the federal government by force.  So, what’s the difference with Libya?  Oh, I forgot!  We declared Gaddafi a dictator and that made every illegal and criminal action that we took, well, it made our action right!!??

Strange, isn’t it, that a former Communist KGB agent, Vladimir Putin, should be more of defender of national sovereignty and I believe in Libya, of national self determination,  then the Obama administration?

Gaddafi had moved very forcefully to attempt to atone for his terrorist actions in Lockerbie.  He acknowledged the crime and paid the blood money.  Which, although Westerners do not agree with the process, is nonetheless, regarded as an expiation for the crime.  So, if the relatives of the victims accept the blood money, they are required to exonerate the perpetrator of the crime.  (Hey, I don’t agree either.  But if we are going to play the game and accept the money then we cannot secretly decide that we have other rules that we apply to the game that are unknown to the other participant.)

Gaddafi had stopped all Nuclear bomb development in acquiesce to American demands.  He had stopped all International terrorism funding and activity in return for USA government recognition of his government.  A fact attested by the visit of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Gaddafi.

However, President Obama did not honor the promises of the previous USA  administration.  President Obama reneged on government to government agreements.  He decided to repudiate the promises of the USA made to Gaddafi, instead using our prestige at the United nations to get Resolution 1973 passed and then using it as a legal cover for illegal and criminal aggression against a sovereign Libya government,  an action which was condemned by Nuremberg when it was done by the Nazi against Poland, etc.

The amateurish and cavalier approach of President Obama to foreign affairs in terribly illustrated by his handling of the Benghazi murder of four Americans, including Ambassador Stevens.  It seems that President Obama thinks that he can engage in acts of war and then walk out of the oval office and go to bed, leaving the conduct of the war to others.  But what is his plan?  What is he intending to accomplish?  What is his focus in terms of the macro and micro scenario of international politics?  Where is his instruction manual for what he intends for his officials to achieve?  Just saying to his staff, “handle it.” and then going to bed is not the basis for policy, anymore than just giving a speech on a USA issue is the same as the proposal of legislation to the Congress.

Speeches and statements to staff to “handle it” are evidence of a politician who is not engaged in governing.  They are the cavalier statements of a person who has little regard for the mechanics of real life government.  Maybe, Obama thinks that all he has to do is think and speak and everybody else has to work.

Obama goes Backwards

http://news.yahoo.com/obama-america-coming-back-012139891.html

The sad part of this article is President Obama himself.  He had the chance for greatness when he became President. Instead he did not trust the American people. He apologized for us before the international community which effectively renounced our efforts in WWI and WW II and under the Marshall Plan, and during the Cold War and even during Kennedy’s confrontation with the Soviet Union in Cuba.

Almost at the same time, he instigated the so-called “Arab Spring” by his inaugural speeches in North Africa and his support of CIA supported insurgencies in the countries of our ally Egypt and in Libya, a country to which we had made expansive national promises; which promises Obama quickly and brutally denied. The result was the disgraceful NATO invasion and decimation of the sovereign State of Libya under a bogus “protect the civilians” United Nations resolution 1973.  A nasty business deal between Sarkozy, Cameron and Obama which ended with the brutal, illegal and ugly murder of the legal Leader of the Revolution, Moamar Gaddafi.  Essentially, it is the same regicide that occurred under Kennedy against Diem in Vietnam.  And very sadly, regicide is a heinous crime that never leaves its perpetrators unaccountable.  As I have stated in previous articles, I believe that the NATO actions against Libya are criminal aggression, and crimes against humanity.  We should not yawn and go on our way but we should, like we did with Milosevic, require accountability from Sarkozy, Cameron, Obama and Rasmussen.

I stated at the beginning that the sad part of this article is Obama, himself.  Why?  Because, of instead of holding forth his positions in terms of health care, (really all he has) maybe even his withdrawal of troops from Iraq as instigated by President Bush, he instead attempts to blame everything, (except maybe the weather!) on his predecessor, President Bush.

Essentially, this seemingly benign speech is an indictment of the citizens of the USA.  Ultimately, it is they who are President Obama’s target and ultimately, he is blaming them.  Why?  Because in free and fair elections the people elected President Bush and the Democrat Congress and ultimately they are themselves to blame for the results.  It is remarkable that his hearers do not realize that whenever President Obama blames President Bush, he is actually blaming the people who are listening to him.

I am reminded, and I tremble to make this association, but it must be done.  I am reminded of Adolf Hitler, who at the end of his brutal and genocidal regime blamed the German people for everything that happened.  It was because they were not worthy of him.

Amazing but true. He and his generals held onto this absurdity until Hitler committed suicide in the underground bunker, rather than face the fact of a ravaged and destroyed Germany.

And before everybody goes crazy and accuses me of saying that President Obama is Hitler.  That is absolutely not true. And if the President were to ask me to the White House, I would dress in a suit and tie and call him Sir and feel very privileged that the elected President of the USA had allowed me to meet him.  None the less, the analogy stands.

So where is all of this going?  Essentially, I am a Bush and Romney man.  However, I think that President Obama has missed his “greatness” moments and the cited article reinforces the notion that he intends to run his 2012 campaign against President George W. Bush instead of against Governor George Romney.

Sad. Really!  Because, although not a Obama man, I feel that he had and perhaps still has, enormous potential for greatness.  Why do I care?  I love the USA.  Obama is the President of the USA and may be again.  Because he does not fully understand the greatness to which we the people have elected him, substituting instead accusations against us, and therefore against himself, he fails.  And his failure hurts us.  Why?  Because we need his greatness.  And his refusal to be great on our terms, deciding instead to lower himself to Democrat versus Republican partisan bickering, he has refused the greatness which may have been his destiny and was certainly the electorates intention.

Presidemt Obama needs to retire.  But he will not, And like all men who have missed their moment of greatness, he will bicker and recriminate and we will all suffer. Better to leave and build a library to your ideas.  That is the more noble path, Sir.

Is America a Criminal Aggressor?

The USA Administration is phony.  It declares an Arab Spring when Obama visited Cairo after his election.  Then it stalls at first and then fully condemns Mubarak, ignoring the Islamic fundamentalist threat.  At the same time it tells Israel to go back to pre Arab War borders.  It also is mild with Syria while joining in the vile and violent illegal and criminal aggression against Libya.  Then it ignores the Ivory coast dictator and continues with Sarkozy to bomb Libya.  Then it continues to refrain from any UN action against Syria while we watch hundred of civilians kills in the streets of Damascus and Hama and elsewhere in Syria.  But we continue to bomb Libya along with Cameron who is complicit with Sarkozy in illegal criminal aggression against the legal government of Libya.  Meanwhile we completely ignore the Jihadist attempts to take over Somalia while ten thousand people there die of hunger.  But we continue to bomb Libya.  And while Assad destroys the entire city of Hama, we threaten to isolate him but completely rule out any action, yet we continue to bomb Libya.  What is there inside of Libya that Sarkozy, Cameron and Obama want?  OIL…this is a terrible return to Western European Territorial aggression by former colonialist and imperialist France, Britain and Belgium . I speak of this on my BloG Talk Radio podcast

Obama’s Plan to gain African Support Fails

http://news.yahoo.com/au-members-agree-disregard-icc-gadhafi-warrant-160534980.html

The USA is not able to gain the support of the African nations because they see us as henchmen of France and Britain.  The African nations suffered under the brutal colonial imperialism of France and the somewhat less brutal but none the less, the Imperialism of Britain.  If the Africans are ever going to overcome those centuries of brutal suppression and slavery then they will need to continue to do what they did Saturday, namely, refuse to heed the stereotypical, selective, prejudiced views of the International Criminal Court whose Liberal Justices do in fact target Africans. President Obama is wrong to contribute American force, military credibility and our national standing to the French/British/Belgium inspired Libyan War for Oil.  If you care to, just look up the kind of brutality practiced by these so-called “enlightened” Western nations when they controlled Africa!  The Belgians were particularly brutal and now they are Liberal defenders of freedom?  Come on, let’s get real.

Silent Churches?

Amazing that the major Christian denominations are silent as the Obama Administration bombs the government and the people of Libya into submission.  I will no longer say that the USA is doing this because although there IS finally a resolution in the Senate to legitimate the Obama aggression, its proponents are the war monger John Mc Cain, and the swift boat navy guy, Kerry!  Besides the Obama administration said today that it is talking to the Congress about its use of military personnel for war in Libya but that it DOES NOT NEED NOR SEEK their approval.  All beside the point of this blog.  I am amazed at the USA and world Christian community’s silence about this blatant “Resource War” of the Western Imperialist nations of Britain, France and Belgium,–backed by USA and silently assented to by Russia, (shame on Putin for cowardly acquiescence to this Western Imperialism. I guess Russia is now  another of the capitalist nations. ) Anyway, the Arab Muslim communities are also silent as the NATO military alliance bombs this Arab Muslim nation into oblivion.  The rebels ae not civilians, they are armed and dangerous.  They are rebels and in any of the NATO counties such persons seeking to forcefully overthrow their government would be arrested.  Obviously the Libyan government would do the same but the rebellion is fostered, promoted, armed, trained and protected by NATO and as is well-known, the combined forces of NATO are fully condoned and supported by Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama.  (By the way, what is the tax bill for this undeclared and illegal war?) Not to let any of the others religions off the hook, because the Dalai Lama, the Grand Rabbinic Societies, the Shinto reps, the Confucians, the Hindus, Wicca, and the whole Green movement are also silent.  The only voice that has spoken out against the war and pleaded for peace, is the voice of Pope Benedict XVI of the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican State.

Obama Cannot be Excused from Libyan “Resource War”

NATO is backed by the USA.  Every time that they strike against the people of Libya, the USA has given the okay.  This is a war of western imperialist colonialist France, England and Belgium against the people of Libya.   It is a war of criminal aggression as clearly defined by the Geneva Accords, the Nuremberg Trials, and the United Nations Protocols against member States using their armed forces against member States.  Let’s not forget that Libya has the greatest untapped oil reserves in North Africa, and its quality is rated as the “best”.  This is a Resource War by the Western nations against Libya.  The goal is the Oil.  Amazing, that the USA Liberals are okay with this when they were violently opposed to Iraq because they said it was a Resource War!  Also, this is a racial war against Arabs and Muslims.  It is amazing that whenever the NATO forces are proved to have killed a lot of civilians, they claim that the target was a legitimate Command and Control center.  Friends, we all remember that this started because the USA claimed that we needed to protect civilians caught up in the cross fires of a Libyan Civil war.  Then the UN passed resolution 1973 which said that NATO  (which is a Western European Military Alliance) could “…use all necessary military means to intervene…”  Imagine that, a blank check for killing, slaughter and mayhem given to France, England and Belgium.  Friends, look up on Google the horrific Colonialist and Imperialist history of these European Aggressors.  This war borders on genocide.  Why?  Because of the arbitrary power given to NATO to define who is civilian and who is not.  From the beginning the NATO European Military Alliance has defined the government of Libya as military and all of the rebels as civilians.  Therefore, NATO feels justified in brutally attacking the military forces of the central Libyan government as they defend themselves against an armed rebellion.  Please note that in the USA the use of armed force in an attempt to overthrow the Washington DC government is considered treason and the penalty is death.  As a matter of fact, if an armed rebellion happened in the USA, the military would be authorized to use lethal force against armed USA citizens in order to put down the armed rebellion.  Is there really a difference between Libya and USA in this matter?  Yet, the self righteous Western NATO military alliance struts its stuff across the world stage as the savior of civilians in Libya saying that its efforts to deliver humanitarian assistance have resulted in 2300 military attacks against the central government of Libya, that’s right!- two thousand three hundred sorties against the government of Libya and in favor of the rebel army which is led by disgruntled former Libyan Security officers, and disaffected former Libyan Army officers.  Shame on the USA for supporting such egregious criminal aggression against the innocent people of Libya.  It is the civilians who are suffering the worst and NATO says it will help them with more missiles, bombs, and drone assassination planes.  This can be ended.  All the the USA President  Obama has to say is STOP and all of this carnage will end.

Western Hypocrisy Regarding Libya!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110513/ap_on_re_eu/eu_international_court_libya

Another stunning act of white European hypocrisy against Libya.  This shows the complete lack of moral authority on the part of the Dutch “International” court.  It is obviously a shameless and brazen army of Western Imperial Colonialism which is waging a “Resource War for Oil” in Libya but calling it humanitarian aid to civilians.  Amazing that in Sierra Leone, nothing happens.  In Darfur, nothing happens.  But in oil rich Libya, the government defends itself against an armed rebellion, (you must surely know that in the USA, an armed attempt to overthrow the government is called treason and the punishment is death.).  When the new attacks to try to murder Gaddafi were launched this week, NATO bragged that they had sent 2300, yes, two THOUSAND and three hundred bombs, missiles and drones against the government forces of Libya as they fight the armed rebellion.  But as pointed out previously, peace is possible in Libya if Obama will only say the word, STOP.  But he does not and will not because he is committed to this France and Britain led criminal aggression against Libya.  Really folks, if the rebels were a real and wide-spread uprising of the people, why is the rebel army so very small, not supported by the true “civilians” who want peace and a return of their security? It is only reasonable to assert that the NATO effort is an illegal war, when a naval blockade, a no fly zone, and over two thousand three hundred sorties against Gaddafi have not produced a shattering of the tribal ruler-ship of the Libyan nation.

USA Not “AT WAR” with Libya!

This is a key issue, no doubt, but an even more serious issue is that President Obama and the Obama administration are carrying out an illegal war in Libya.  I deal with this issue on my Word Press blog, “progressive politics” where I have expansive coverage.  In essence, the Obama administration did not come to congress when they volunteered to breech the sovereignty of a Sovereign Nation.  Libya is recognized around the world as a legal State in the community of nations.  It does not matter to the international community that Libyan leader Gaddafi is the “head of the revolution”, which is his self styled moniker.  Rather, as recently as last week, the international community recognized the right of the government in Tripoli to appoint ambassadors. The case I am speaking of occurred in Stockholm.  The Swedish ambassador from Libya sided with the ragtag rebels against the central government of Libya.  The Libyan government under Gaddafi sent a replacement.  The Swedish government recognized the replacement and disenfranchised the rebel ambassador.  Why does this mean anything?  Because it recognizes the present government of Libya as the legal government of Libya.  So, now on to the USA, France and Britain.  Under the guise of resolution 1973 from the United Nations, the Obama administration has declared “Regime Change” as its’ official policy when President Obama stated that “Gaddafi must go”.  Then under the cover of the U. N. resolution 1973 to “…use all means to protect civilians in Libya”, the USA, France and Britain decided that the rebels were civilians and needed to be protected, while the uniformed legal army, navy and air force of Libya were “agents of the dictator” and therefore were to be attacked and destroyed using NATO military power.  Then using brutal military force the NATO partners invaded the air space of Libya, bombed its cities, attacked it army, civil governent and killed it’s civilians.  All of this under the guise of delivering humanitarian aid to the people of Libya.  Since when is humanitarian aid delivered on the tip of 212 cruise missiles? Since it’s inception, this invasion has been a war without a declaration of war.  Many bloggers claim that the United Nations resolution 1973 allowing nations to use “…all necessary force” against Gaddafi is legal for USA forces.  Not so, the Congress must approve such expenditure of USA military power on foreign adventures against a sovereign nation that has neither attacked us, nor our embassy, nor held our people hostage.  Other bloggers have stated that Gaddafi is a legal target since he is the head of state of a nation with which we are at war.  However, the USA is not at war with Libya since only the Congress of the USA has the constitutional power to declare war.  Yet others, have said that under the understanding of war crimes coming out of WW II and the Nuremberg Trials, plus the Geneva Conventions, and the USA Rule of Land Warfare manuals, USA forces are allowed to attack, destroy and render inoperative the military, civil and legal forces of a nation with which we are at war.  However, we are NOT at legal war with Libya.  Therefore, I submit that the whole operation of the USA against the internationally recognized government of Libya, (a member nation of the United Nations)   is inherently illegal according to USA law,( no Congressional Declaration of War); according to UN law, (which declares that the military forces of members states will not be used to overthrow the governments of other member states), according to the Nuremberg Trials that declared that the military and civil leaders of Germany were criminal aggressors because they invaded another nation (Poland) under the pretense of attack (Russia too?) and according to the USA Rule of Land Warfare that recognizes that a Nation State that is not in a declared war with another Nation State and nonetheless unilaterally and with itself NOT being attacked, attacks, is a criminal aggressor!

Libyan War is Really Ugly Western European Aggression.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110419/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_libya_islamic_warrior

The Aggression of the Western Colonialist Imperialist powers of England and France is criminal.  I know that my readers are bored with this topic but the criminal French and English will not stop.  The constant refrain from NATO is that they are protecting civilian rebels.  Well, rebels are not simply civilians.  These are people who are not a recognized army, fighting against the central Libyan government.  Might we all at least have the integrity to admit, that we are attacking the legal army and government of Libya?  So let’s stop the murder that we deliver at the end of  50 caliber bullets, and twenty ton bombs and at least 212- that’s right! two hundred and twelve CRUISE missiles.  That is not humanitarian aid.  By the way, when was the last time anyone heard of a Libyan government aircraft attacking anybody?  The aircraft are mostly destroyed and the no fly zone is totally and completely secured.  Again, please write your congress person and stop the USA participation in the killing of innocent people, the killing of the legal soldiers of a sovereign state, (which I repeat is an act of terrorism and criminal aggression because the USA is not in a declared war with the nation of Libya.) Our military leaders  are obeying illegal orders to attack across the borders of a country that is at PEACE with the USA…let the Congress tell the USA military that we will not replace the 212 CRUISE missiles. Let us tell our navy we will not replace the bombs.  Let us tell our army we will not replace the ammo for the A-10 gunship.  That is the kind of talk our military leaders understand and maybe if they cannot get any more of our tax dollars for their pet war in Libya, then they will stop obeying the illegal orders to attack a nation that is at peace with the USA.
