Paul Ryan is the Leader America Needs

http://www.npr.org/2011/08/18/139737992/weekly-standard-paul-ryans-presidential-potential?ft=1&f=1057

We need a leader and Representative Paul Ryan is the man of the hour.  He understands economics.  He also understands the economics needed to get the USA back into play as the greatest economy in the world.  This will not only help America, it will help the world.  Yes, I am bold enough to say that a Paul Ryan Presidency will make the world a better place.

He is also a very good communicator and what he tells you is the truth.  Today we have a lot of double speak, mis-speak and down right lies.  We also have a huge amount of political theater by the ” I will veto it Obama”  and the “dead on arrival Reid.”  We need Paul Ryan because he has sound financial ideas, these ideas are part of an all encompassing plan, and if we implement the plan we will stop this double dip recession, save medicare and Social Security and put America back to work on the road to prosperity.

Paul Ryan loves America.  He is a proud citizen of our nation and he has served in our Congress with dignity and integrity.  There is little  likelihood that like Obama, Ryan would appoint people to his cabinet who, like the President, do not love America .

The names of the people who are endorsing a Ryan bid for the White House show that he would unite and strengthen the Republican party, (see names in the article).  It also indicates that Congressman Ryan enjoys across the spectrum political support.

Although I cannot promise it, I also believe that if Paul Ryan wins the nomination from Mitt Romney, that Governor Romney will commit his strong  campaign force behind a Ryan drive for the election.

Paul Ryan is a good campaigner,  and will be a match for Obama.  Paul’s love for the truth will not allow Paul’s respect for the institution of the Presidency to limit him as he refutes the smear campaign certain to be launched against him by the Obama White House.

In every area and according to every criteria, a Paul Ryan Presidency will be very good for America.  He is the leader we need.

Paul Ryan for President -But.

From the very first day I encountered Congressman Paul Ryan on TV I thought that he was definitely Presidential material.  Ever since, my estimation has grown stronger and deeper.  Representative Ryan is a leader that America needs.  I have written extensively in the previous posts to this article, so I will not repeat the reasons for my wholehearted endorsement.  However, I will add a warning.  Mr. Paul Ryan is not seeking the presidency and as the article cited stated, in my opinion, he will have to be dragged by an insistent public into the contest for President.  Why?  Because Congressman Ryan is a breed of steadfast Americans who regards public office as a privilege.  He serves at the will of the voters of his district and his loyalty to them and his deep respect for them as fellow citizens has sent him back to Congress term after term.  Yes, there are many congressman who are good but I believe that Representative Ryan has shown himself to be a notch above.  How?  Firstly, he is willing to listen to the needs, opinions and political philosophy of his constituents.  He may be a Republican but he considers himself a Congressman.  (Not the same as a Scott Brown Republican who puts Scott Brown in front of Republican.  Although I DO believe that Senator Brown is a good man and is representing Massachusetts very well.) Paul Ryan does not hedge on his political philosophy, his world view, his creeds or his values.  He holds them dear and fast.  But he holds them personally as the North Star navigating his life.  He may try to present his view to others but in no way does Paul Ryan believe that his way is the only way. (Unlike Obama who thinks of his political philosophy and methods of governing as the only TRUE way. Which Obama believes is apparent to all who are of the truth!!)  The rest of us are still clinging to our guns and our religion and believing in our police who act foolishly when they try to defend a citizen.

There is a lot more I will be saying in the coming months. However, in the title I intentionally placed the word “but”.  I did that because there is no way that a Congressman who is not seeking the Presidency for his own glory can effectively compete against a glory seeking incumbent President unless we who support Paul are there for him every painful inch of the way.  Obama says that he can raise one billion dollars (an obscene figure) to keep himself in the oval office.  Can we promise to Paul Ryan that we will do everything, and that includes our own money, to help him meet that challenge?  Obama has already shown how he can use tax payer dollars to fly himself around on Air Force One so he can campaign and raise money.  He was in NJ five times last year and this year twice in NYC.  Can we give Paul Ryan the logistical support he needs?  By logistical support I primarily refer to getting out the crowds to see him, “press the flesh” and listen to his message.  Obama does not need to pay for his daily exposure on TV.  All he needs to do is talk and he will have five minutes on every news program several times a day, plus front page photos of himself in every national and local newspaper plus extensive Internet blogging.  How are we going to help Congressman Ryan fight against that kind of automatic publicity?  Will even Fox new and the venerable Mr. Bill O Reilly promise that every minute given to Obama’s publicity will be equalled with coverage of Paul Ryan’s speech or stop over in (let’s say) Great Falls?

Paul Ryan is a man for American.  He loves America and he respects its people.  He will not bow to Saudi Kings and Japanese Emperors, (not matter what the ettique is).  He will act in the office of President with deep American values, a strong work ethic, a driving effort to set us on a financial foundation that will guarantee for current and for future seniors that the promise of a socially secure American will not be spent away during his Presidency.  But will he let us elect him?  That’s a big question.

Is Sean Hannity the Only True Conservative?

Listening to Mark Levin, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity today, I wondered if Sean is the only true conservative left?  I have great respect for Mark Levin.  He truly is the “Great One”  but his anger over the present budget deal threatens to side line him because he is focusing on a short term goal, the 100 billion. I  understand Mark’s position but I disagree.  The present budget is like this:  A person is about to cross the street.  Another person on the corner keeps shouting that he should not cross.  But a third person behind the first tells him it is okay.  So the person crosses and gets hit by a bus.  The person who said that it was okay simply shrugs and moves away.  But the one who shouted that he should not cross tries his best to revive him, but fails and is blamed by everyone for not being able to save the man who crossed the street.  It is the President who is supposed to propose the annual budget to Congress in a timely manner.  Obama did not.  The Democrat Congress under Pelosi and Reid did not.  The newly elected Republicans have tried to save the doomed budget process for fiscal 2011 but are failing.  They are doing their best and should not be blamed for Obama’s negligence and failure.  Like Mr. Levin, who is blaming the Republicans, Mr. O’Reilly is also blaming them.  But unlike Mark Levin, Bill O’Relly is revealing himself to be a fan and supporter of President Obama.  Daily in the No pin Zone, O’Reilly spins the news and the interviews, casting them in favor of Obama and against the Republicans.  Soon, O’Reilly will join the drones and blame everything on President George W. Bush. This leave Sean Hannity.  He is consistent in his critique of the Obama Administration and clearly supports Republicans, the Tea party movement and Conservatives.  But Sean too, is often very critical of the Republicans.  This writer agrees that the Present Budget deal is disappointing but the bigger and more important fight is the Ryan proposal for 2012 and the out years with a projection of 6 trillion in savings.  The pundits and talk show hosts, the bloggers and the commentators must unite and remain united NO MATTER WHAT because the Democrat response to the Ryan proposal will be vicious. There can no divisions, no Scott Brown, Olympia Snow Republicans who side with and vote for Democrat counter proposals.

Glenn Beck VS. Bill O’Reilly

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/FOX-News-and-Mercury-Radio-bw-2461707152.html?x=0&.v=1

In an off-handed way it is amazing to watch the third highest rated cable news show end.  I remember talking with some friends about Bill O’Reilly and how he had changed since his interview with Pres. Obama.  Do you remember that soft ball interview where O’Reilly allowed Obama to dominate the hour?  And do you remember that last question that O’Reilly asked Obama?  Leaning over toward the President and speaking with very strong emotion and heartfelt sincerity, Mr. O’ Reilly asked Obama, ” What can I do to help you, Mr. President?”   My friend said that the answer that Obama probably gave to O’Reilly is ” Get rid of Glenn Beck.”  And so here we have it.  O’Reilly, who often smirked and laughed at Beck, and took Beck along on a Comedy tour, thereby underlining that Beck was really a Comedian and not someone to be taken seriously, well, O’Reilly wins, Obama wins, Beck is out and the 2.2 million followers of the Glenn Beck show are the losers.  Sad really.  But not outside the brutal business of todays cable companies. No matter what O’Reilly and Fox say in the future, it is all about income and advertisers.  No wonder Media Matters and George Soros are so happy.  Amazing that MSNBC could keep Obermann so long but Fox gives the ax to Beck in such a short time.  I wonder, does Bill O’Reilly really have that much power.  It’s only an opinion, but from here, it looks like he does.

OReilly Reveals his Obama Side

In the telecast March 31 Bill O Reilly revealed that he is fulfilling a question he asked when he interviewed President Obama.  In that Interview he asked the President, “What can I do to help you, Mr. President?”  Since that time O Reilly has done a good job of covering up his new-found admiration for the President.  Mostly, O Reilly acts as though he is being fair and balanced, but the nuance of his comments is decidedly pro Obama.  Tonight with the use of one word, O Reilly revealed his inner convictions.  In discussing the difference between Obama and Bush as regards the Mid East, O Reilly said that Bush was a “cowboy” in Iraq while Obama revealed a deliberate cautious and careful approach to Libya.  He said that Bush was a cowboy in his go it alone approach to leadership while Obama’s broad coalition with NATO is proof of Obama’s leadership.  The use of the negative word “cowboy” as regards President Bush shows that O Reilly is no longer even pretending to be fair and balanced and has become a Obama defender, just like MSNBC and CNN and the other media sycophants.  Too bad, because now there is only Mark Levin and Sean Hannity to trust for fair and balanced and Glenn Beck for thorough investigative reporting.  O Reilly is really a democrat advocate and it would be better for him to admit his true Pro Obama position rather than to continue to pretend otherwise.

American Agression in Libya

American is an aggressor nation which has attacked another  country .  The President  hooked up with two colonial powers to attack the sovereign state of Libya.  All of this is illegal, no matter what the United Nations says and it indicates that the United States is now willing to invade and continue to invade another nation in order to destroy the forty-year old functional government and replace it with something else.  The United States is the aggressor because Libya did not attack the USA nor did Libya attack citizens of the USA , nor the embassy of the USA.  Instead, the USA bombed Libya with aircraft bombs and missiles.  This unprovoked attack of three nations of advanced military power against one small Arab nation is an action of aggression pure and simple.  Libya was not and is not a threat to the peace, stability or sovereignty of the USA or its citizens.  Yet, the USA  attacks not only the army, but the nation of Libya itself.  What else do you call bombing airfields, attacking administration building, destroying government centers and political party buildings, the compound of the dictatorial ruler and strafing  tanks, shooting down heliocopters and preventing its government from quelling an armed rebellion.  Last time I thought of it, I remember that armed rebellion against the USA is illegal and considered an act of treason punishable by death.  Now some would argue that he is a dictator and therefore not worthy of respect.  Did he not address the UN in the USA a few years ago?  Did we arrest this man and throw him into prison?  Did he not sign legally binding contracts with international companies and a PR firm in the USA?  How did he get the weapons that he has?  He bought them and the vendors, including many national governments,  accepted his money as being the legal tender of the ruler of Libya.  The position of many commentators in the USA is to be rejected.  Sean Hannity, Bill O Reilly and the boys at CNN and MSNBC are cheering this new WAR.  If it is a righteous war, where is the declaration of war from the Congress of the USA?  No, this is unprovoked aggression and the criminal is the USA and stop harping that the UN said it was okay to bomb Libya in order to destroy the Libyan government, kill that government’s soldiers and the like…I cannot list all the crimes because it is sickening.  And let’s not be two faced about our intentions. We say we want to defend the people but on the news we see that the rebels are not the people but a small band of former libyan soldiers and political activists and organizers who themselves say that they do not have enough fighers to defeat the government of Libya.  And the spokeman for the USA State Deptment said Thursday March 24 that our government is in constant daily contact with the rebels for the purpose of finding out who they are, what they stand for, and what they intend to do if we help them to win.  So we are fighting a war of aggression against the internationally recognized dictatorship of Libya in favor of a group of somebodies about whom we know nothing.  Imagine that our CIA and military intelligence knows nothing about the leaders of this rebel group nor about its goals and aims!  ABSURD.  We should get out of Libya immediately and unilaterally.  Forget this Coalition bull.  The nations attacking are merely former imperialist colonial tyrants who seem to want to reclaim some kind of lost military glory.  Shame.

Is Bill O’Reilly a Closet Obama Fan?

Hey! the Obama Interview aside, I wonder if Bill O’Reilly voted for Obama.!?  Right after the 2008 election I thought Bill O’Reilly was a Obama man.  Then it seemed that he soured on the President.  This antipathy to President Obama increased the more the Stock Market, and especially GE declined.  Then there was a period when I thought I heard Mr. O’Reilly pleading for an interview with the Prez.  During that “whining” time, I thought that Bill was “fair and balanced” toward the Prez.  But immediately leading up to “THE INTERVIEW” and ever since, “THE INTERVIEW” I seem to be hearing Bill O Reilly fulfilling the answer to his last interview question ” What can we do for YOU, Mr. President?”  Well, this viewer does not think that The Factor needs to help the Pres. get elected again in  2012.
