While President Obama is playing politics with our future, the price of food at the supermarket is climbing. While Obama is playing games with our tax future by pretending to tax only the rich, he is actually increasing the amount of money out of everybody’s pocket. While Obama is taxing us 400 billion for his help the Unions job plan, the same Unions plan on spending billions of dues collected from these tax payer funded union jobs. On What will they spend the collected dues? They will spend the tax funded dues to campaign for the election of Obama to a second term. Then he can propose to tax us again to kept the union workers working while the rest of us lose our jobs, take a pay cut in the form of higher taxes. Or if he actually does get elected, and the Republicans lose control of the House of Representatives, we will see the USA enter the final death crisis of a bankrupt economy that has printed too much money, owes foreign nations too much interest and a country that has regulated and taxed its citizens into perpetual poverty.

New Candidates for Public Office
… Subject: Charley Reese’s final column for the Orlando Sentinel… Who do you think is really responsible for the acknowledged 14.3 trillion deficit? A very interesting column.. It is a Congress bashing indictment that seems to exonerate the President but it is a good read to see how some people are willing to set the blame on one side and let the other side get away with irresponsibility. You can find the entire article online. I use only a portion of it for be=revity and because I think this portion reflects the context I want to address in this blog.
…”Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does. You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country. I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress.
This might be funny if it weren’t so true. Be sure to read all the way to the end: Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table, At which he’s fed. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule. Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts anyway! Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think. Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries Tax his tears. Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ass. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won’t be done Till he has no dough. When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more, Tax him till He’s good and sore. Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he’s laid… Put these words Upon his tomb, ‘Taxes drove me to my doom…’ When he’s gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply The inheritance tax. Accounts Receivable Tax Building Permit Tax CDL license Tax Cigarette Tax Corporate Income Tax Dog License Tax Excise Taxes Federal Income Tax Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Fuel Permit Tax Gasoline Tax (currently 44.75 cents per gallon) Gross Receipts Tax Hunting License Tax Inheritance Tax Inventory Tax IRS Interest Charges IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax) Liquor Tax Luxury Taxes Marriage License Tax Medicare Tax Personal Property Tax Property Tax Real Estate Tax Service Charge Tax Social Security Tax Road Usage Tax Recreational Vehicle Tax Sales Tax School Tax State Income Tax State Unemployment Tax (SUTA) Telephone Federal Excise Tax Telephone Federal Universal Service Fee Tax Telephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge Taxes Telephone Minimum Usage Surcharge Tax Telephone Recurring and Nonrecurring Charges Tax Telephone State and Local Tax Telephone Usage Charge Tax Utility Taxes Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Watercraft Registration Tax Well Permit Tax Workers Compensation Tax STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.. What in the heck happened? Can you spell ‘politicians?’ I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!! GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN!!! BTW: since they are the problem, THEY will NOT be the ones to fix the problem, it has to come from “we the people” Blessings, ”
I agree with the sentiment but a rant and rage against all politicians is meaningless. They are there and they are there to stay. But we do not need to have the same ones year in and year out. We the people need to get better informed about what the politicians are actually doing. Forget what they are saying…all of that is rhetoric. Rather, get from the Internet the voting records of your Senator and your Congressman and hold them accountable and if they do not get it straight, then campaign against them and seek to elect somebody else. This writer is in New Jersey. It is a strong Labor Union State and the Labor Unions spend the automatically deducted Union dues in order to conduct massive multi million dollar campaigns to keep the pro union politicians in office. Mine are Frank Lautenberg, a man who is over seventy-five and has fifty million dollars in personal wealth. Like Bloomberg he could buy the office (shame) with his own money. But he doesn’t need to do that, he just needs the union bosses to pay, and they do. Frank can do whatever he wants in the US Senate and he does, as long as the Union bosses agree. We also have Senator Menendez, who always acknowledges your letters but quickly tells you that you are wrong and then proposes to you the Union Boss line of thinking. I do not believe that either Senator has ever been bi partisan, ever crossed the line to vote with the other guy. Their voting record reads like a Harry Reid or Obama play book…if some legislation is initiated by Republicans it is dead on arrival or vetoed in Senate committee. Add to them Steve Rothman another Democrat with bona Fides equaling above two. SO WHAT? This is what. If you agree with the above article then get going to elect Congressmen and Senators who are more reflective of what you think should be done in America. Dump the politicians controlled by the Union Bosses. Dump the fifty million dollar Senator who wants to tax you because you make over 250,000 dollars income. Stop Obama from destroying Social Security by “lowering” the one source of its income, namely the Social Security tax.
What else can you do? Get into the Primary elections in your State and if there are no primaries get one going. What will this do? A primary is a direct challenge to the good old boy cronyism of the local political parties, both Republican and Democrat. In my NJ District the Democrat party just keeps putting up those in office (obviously) and the Republicans run old boy, back room cronies who don’t stand a chance of election because they are selected just to fill the ballot and not as real possible problem solvers for the people. Sarah Palin and Mark Levin the Tea Party movement are the big hope right now for the Primary process. I do not mean as candidates but as educators and encouragers of the local political hopefuls. Palin and the tea party have the knowledge and they have gained the organizational skill to run new and unknown candidates against the political hacks and Union lackeys and entrenched office holders. We don’t need to erase the institutions of government, we need to get involved and put the right people into government.
Obama Blame Game?
President Obama set out a very political speech while insisting that he wants everybody That of itself should tell you all you need to know. But lets go further. He wants to cut social security taxes for individuals and employers. This writer believes that he wants to destroy social security. A cut in social security will create how many jobs? None. A cut in Social Security will help save the Social security system? No it will not but it will further weaken it and destroy the social security system creating the crisis he so onemindedly has pursued. What about encouraging a systematic overhaul of the progressive tax system. How about encouraging business to return money made by sales oversea to the USA by not taxing that money, amounting to many billions of needed investment money to be put to work in USA. The President asked to speak to Congress. The Congress graciously accepted his request and as is the law, it agreed at some great trouble to itself, to invite him. But instead of a speech of was full of Leadership, Obama merely waged his bony finger in their face, and scolded them while attempting to set them up for 100% of the blame. So, what shall the people do? Ignore Obama. We have this guy’s mode of operation and it is not a method of helping America but of destroying America. Secondly, we must see beyond the Obama administrations use of phony class warfare which sets American against American. Thirdly, we need to overcome the blame game and give Congress the chance they need to correct the problem. It is very important to note that the Congress and the Congress alone can allocate the money and reduce the deficit but that through enormous discretionary funding the Presidents, as they have in the three wars, can squander hundreds of billions of dollars annually on destruction while American dies.
Republican Debate-Valid Scores?
I did not watch the first debate and I did not watch the debate last night. I do not like debates. Why? Because as a very young man I listened to the radio broadcast of the Nixon/Kennedy debate and I believed that Nixon was the definitive winner of the debate. However, the paid commentators and political pundits all gave the win to Kennedy. Many have since written that the debate definitely was Nixon’s on content and relevancy. It was Kennedy’s on looks, charm and rhetorical flare. So I do not watch debates. How many others, especially Republicans who are likely to vote, did not watch? Therefore my question is, Did Romney lose and Perry win? And should we care? My vote is that the debates are not real indicators of the quality of a candidate’s potential to be a serious minded President of the USA. What do you think?
Is Intervention Selective?
Should the UN intervene in Syria. Obviously, as some have pointed out about the situation in Libya, the Syria leader is a dictator. He is brutal in repression of his people. He has torture chambers. He has decimated cities. The reports so far are numbering above one thousand innocent civilians killed, thousands more arrested and whole urban populations surrounded by the Army. Yet, no Security Council resolution? No French and British, Canadian and USA demand for NATO bombs and USA Cruise missile attacks? So, let’s see! The Libyan situation was worse? I think not. Or, the Libyan dictator was more brutal. No? Oh, it must be that the Libyan civilian population is more worthy of foreign intervention via NATO and the Syrians are not? (Are Syrian civilian dead less valuable than Libyan civilian dead?) Or maybe there is no ready-made French and British dominated government in exile residing in London or Paris? Or maybe the foreign oil companies are not interested in Syrian oil fields? So, what is it about selective foreign military intervention that makes the Libyan foray legitimate and any other is suspect? Some would say that the UN which is a peace keeping institution has to first okay foreign nations who want to war against other member nations? Does that make UN a world government? What about the rule of law. Does the rule of Law apply to War between the sovereign governments ( that usually includes dictatorships< surprise surprise>!) or does the rule of law apply only to some countries and not others? In the case of the USA, the silence of the Congress on the deployment of USA military assets into the war against Libya is troubling. Estimates are the war cost the US taxpayers one billion dollars. What did it cost Canada? What did Germany pay? What about Russia, or Australia? Is only the USA the moral policeman and the beleaguered US taxpayer the only ones who must pay up for wars to free the poor down trodden people of South West Asia (the USA military designation for the areas involved).? The moral case can be made for UN intervention in many places. This writer is completely in favor of the defeat of brutal dictatorships wherever they are to be found. None the less, the argument made in these posts concerns the serendipitous pursuit of illogical and capricious foreign policy. I am a citizen of the USA so my opinions regarding Sarkozy and Cameroon are those of an outsider, although under the rubrics of critics they would be allowed under the concepts of one world order. However, the main concerns are: US foreign adventurism by the USA administration; the lack of USA Congressional authority for the deployment and use of USA military assets in the obvious pursuit of war by one sovereign State against another, (the UN does not have authority to okay US deployment of weapons of Mass destruction ( that is not only nuclear bombs but includes Cruise Missiles, A-10 anti personnel aircraft); UN mandate or no, the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance fare exceeded the UN resolution 1973 when it (as the Brits said) “…pursued the obvious extension and logical conclusion of resolution 1973…which is the defeat and destruction of the Gaddafi Government…” By the way this writer was in the US Army for thirty years and has witnessed the lethal nature of bombs, missiles and the A10. These are not exact (pin point) weapons. When they are used they may indeed hit the target but the blow up effect is wide and in the case of the bombs and missiles anyone within thousands of feet to the impact area would be killed or at the least very seriously injured. Since the UN okayed the effort and NATO launched at least five hundred missile attacks and thousands of bomb runs and thousands of strafing attacks, are we to suppose that zero civilians were killed?
Obama Falls in the Polls.
No one is saying Obama is a bad person. Nor that is is not a good husband and father. The key issue is that his agenda is the wrong one for America. And his agenda is part of his creed. He actually believes that he should apologize for America. Instead of helping us to remain strong economically, he has wasted our resources on failed programs. A strong USA is a blessing to under developed nations. A vibrant US economy is a help to struggling nations. A healthy US economy is a buyer of the goods and services for sale by others. When we buy their goods we put food on their table as well as feed our economic engine. So let us not paint all critics of the Obama administration as Obama haters. Sure there are some who will not see any good in the man. They are wrong. None the less, Obama cannot change his core belief that America is just another nation among a world of nations. In a classroom philosophy class that may be true. But he is the President of the USA and such a belief is not the right one.
Anti White Racism by US Congressman is okay?
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/rep-andré-carson-tea-party-members-congress-want-142624474.html
This is not political speech. This is anti white racism. But I guess liberal/progressives are okay with it because it is anti white. Strange really, because most liberal/progressives are white. I guess they are okay with it because they think the attack is against the “other” white meat.
Too Bad About Ryan
I really thought that there was a chance for a candidate that I completely trusted. I am an independent and lean heavily toward the Republicans. I thought and still think that Ryan/Rubio is the ticket. Alas, that Ryan just will not run for the nomination. For me, this is a sad thing.
US Families Accepted Money for Lockerbie Deaths
http://www.nowpublic.com/world/us-transfers-libyan-money-lockerbie-victims This writer can not even imagine the pain and suffering caused by the loss of a loved one through acts of terror. In fact, I cannot really imagine the pain and suffering from loss through accident. However, civil courts and governments made legally binding deals called monetary settlements. The perpetrator payed a fine and the victims accepted the cash. While all is not forgiven, the family is regarded as duly compensated and the perpetrator is released from further court action. Read this very informative article concerning the Lockerbie and Berlin Disco settlement and note the significance of the Vast Oil deposits for American companies. Also note that the deal was legal. It was carried out by the USA Secretary of State and that there were binding agreements attached about the regard the USA promised to have toward the Libyan government. It did not include an escape clause that the USA could change it’s mind after the deal was done and it did not contain a secret protocol allowing the USA to use NATO and the United Nations as a phony front for the overthrow of the Legally recognized government of Libya.
Paul Ryan Versus Others
What do you think of Representative Paul Ryan and his chances for the Republican Presidential nomination?
