Get out of Libya.

Get out of Libya. That is what Secretary of Defense Gates meant when he addressed the Congressional committee. Let’s face it, Obama made a mistake and he should be big enough and bold enough to realize it, confess it but above all, he needs to get out of Libya. We can all help in this. Our President is very inexperienced and naive about most things and especially about international affairs. In the case of Libya he made a very big mistake and when the election comes he will be judged, but in the meantime, he is the President and has committed our forces to pursue the wrong policy and engage in the wrong war. Libya is minimally a rebellion of dissent former army officers and maximally a civil war. In both cases, the USA has nothing to do with it. This is even more true when we consider our lack of involvement in the Ivory Coast where there are thousands of genocidal deaths. In Libya almost none and definitely none genocidal. So, what to do? We need to cut the President some slack, and for now let him off the hook he so foolishly got all Americans onto when he arrogantly pronounced that Gaddafi must go. The President must totally disengage from Libya immediately. This course of action is in our national self interest. Additionally, we can encourage Obama to take diplomatic initiatives to impress upon Gaddafi our help if he takes immediate actions to democratize his government. President Obama’s ideological doggedness should not involve our nation in pursuit of the wrong cause for the wrong reasons no matter how nice a guy we think our smiling President to be. Rather, in the use of lethal force, we need to encourage our President to stop immediately his ill advised foray into an adventure which is really a third war. ( NOTE) I posted this before but it needs repeating!

The Russian are now lapdogs to Obama and Sarkozy.

How did it happen that Sakozy became such an arch enemy of Gaddafi. This writer remembers the days when the Western Nations looked forward to welcoming Col Gaddafi and Libya into the world of modern progressive peaceful nations. Then all of a sudden we are told that Gaddai is a tyrant, a dictator and an international criminal. What did Gaddafi do? There are plenty of accepted stereotypes and a lot of allegations but we do not call in the North Altantic Treaty Organization to decimate a nation’ military, destroy it infastructure and attempt to over throw its’ government based on stereotypical anti arab prejudice and heresay allegations. This blogger has repeated opposed and constantly written against the United Nations sanctioned war of aggression against Libya and its’ legal government. I have called out NATO as a military alliance which is pursuing an illegal war of criminal aggression against Libya. Every day is a very sad day for our world because the United Nations is morally compromised by its craven cowardice is not revising its resolution 1973 by removing its complicit agreement to this aggression. This is a resource war for oil by member states against Libya. The Libyan oil resource war is evidence that the United Nations is no longer a credible agency for peace and justice in our world and that the United Nations should itself by cited by the International War crimes tribunal at the Hague for its legalization of blatant criminal aggression by its members. Sadly, the only hope for justice in the United Nations Security Council is the Russian delegate who can introduce censure and sanction resolutions against NATO and in favor of the grieviously injured people of Tripoli and all other bombed and straffed Libyan cities. But the Russians, although initially seeming to side with justice against resolution 1973, have now been sidelined by Sarkozy, Obama and Cameron. I never thought to see the day when great Russia would be reduced to a vassal for the two greatest imperialist colonialist nations of the West, France and Britain! In fact, Sarkozy is so emboldened that he recently called for a similiar resolution of power to NATO as regards Syria and Sarkozy taunts the Russians to dare to oppose him in the Security Council. Who would have ever thought to see Putin as a lap dog for Menvedev and Menvedev as a lacky for Sarkozy? Indeed, the internal situation within the sovereign nation of Syria is serious but should an interventionist colonial power like France be allowed to assert a new dominance over an Arab State like Syria. Should the Russians agree to stand idly as the NATO military alliance makes the Russian influence in the region of no significance? It is a strange twist of fate that this writer, who is an ardent pro America citizen of the USA, should be looking to a former Communist totalitarian dictatorship for the protection of the sovereignty of nations. But such is my hope as we face the new world order totalitarianism of Obama, Sarkozy and Cameron.

The key questions that must be pressed on Obama Administration officials is , “Why is the so-called popular uprising of the people of Libya not succeeding?”

According to the article cited, the key to USA diplomatic policy in Libya is that we are supporting the vast majority of the people who are in a massive revolt against the Libyan government and that this effort MUST NOT be an outside invasion or an imposition of Western military power in Libya. Yet, the Obama people say okay to missile strikes against the government and its building, cities, telecommunications, ports, roads, airports and citizens. The Obama people say okay to the use of A10 killer machine low flying aircraft against Libyan uniformed military personnel. (The A10 can kill 5000 persons in one minute.) Yes, in a minute. President Obama signs a “secret” protocol, which has the effect of an empowering order, to allow USA military and clandestine forces to supply weapons and training to the rebel army inside Libya. They also send Special Forces operatives into Libya as attack spotters who call in the coordinates for airs strikes and missile attacks. USA government operatives under the CIA are actively engaged in fomenting anti Libyan government propaganda. Yet, all of this is failing to topple the government. Do you not think that a very weak, unpopular and merely dictatorial gang of a few Libyan leaders would have been routed by now? Is it possible that the legal and internationally recognized government of Libya is actually supported by the people? Is Hilary telling us one thing but pursuing an opposite policy? It is just not true that the government of the USA is attempting to help the Libyan people. Rather, the USA government is acting as a criminal aggressor in an undeclared war of conquest against the legal government of oil rich Libya. Our government is doing this to seize control over the national treasure of Libya which is vast oil deposits. Our government is using an obsequious and compliant United Nations in a betrayal of the very essence of the United Nations Charter. No one may care about Libya, after all it is an arid desert country of dark-skinned arab muslim people. However, this writer sees in this care-less-ness the same ignorance on the part of the USA citizens that allowed us and the rest of the world to ignore the Nazi genocide against the Gypsies, Homosexuals, Roman Catholics and Jews. We are involved in Libya in such a way as to justify the charge of “State Sponsored Terrorism” to be lodged against the USA in the same international courts that have accused Serbs, Croats and Sudanese of Crimes against Humanity.

What is the true intention of the massively illegal Libyan War conducted by the Western military alliance called NATO? This writer believes that NATO involvement in Libya is a “Resource War” for control of Libyan oil. The phony coverup of so called protection of innocent civilians does not fit with the delivery of such humanitarian aid by bombs on Gaddafi’s home town, by 218 Cruise missiles against uniformed Libyan troops defending their nation against armed rebellion, and now by the use of increased anti personnel weapons capable of slaughtering Libyan uniformed troops in the field of battle. The article purports that the Leader of the Revolution in Libya was potentially leaving but the Western nations prevented it! The question is, “Does the Libya Resource War represent a resurgent European militarist imperialism? Is the USA the secret ally of this Western “first world” aggression upon the “third world” Libya? Are the American people now part of a covert international terrorism which seeks the clandestine overthrow of governments we do not like?

Somehow the USA and other Western nations think that it is okay for them to secretly involved inside of country with the intention of killing its leader and overthrowing it government by force. As we review the actions of the Obama Administration relative to Libya we see that it engages in duplicity, which is essentially lying. Maybe that does not surprise us in the USA who have read the Baldacci novels and the Bourne movies. However, it underscores the fact that when other nations accuse the USA of itself being a terrorist nation, then we cannot legitimately disagree. This writer, however, believes that although we understand the need for spying, the actions of the USA relative to phony rebels and the continued escalation of a “Resource War for Oil” in Libya reveals a cynical federal administration in Washington. It is an administration that believe in the ideas first said you the Nazi Josef Goebbels, namely, that if you tell the people a lie often enough they will believe it. Do citizens of the USA really want to be followers of a Nazi propangandist? As you read the article please be honest to recognize facts revealed, namely, that the USA is spending an enormous amount of money for planes, missiles, etc. in order to overthrown the legal government of Libya, which makes us, liars, cheats, and terrorists. (It hurts me to say this about my nation, I served in the army for thirty years and four of those years in full support of our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. But those were declared wars using our troops out in the open.)

Does it not amaze you that they were such public “friends” and now three of them are trying to kill the one. What did he do to them? What does he have that they want? Are Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy playing “king of the hill” using our money, our military services personnel, or ships, planes, missiles and special forces in order to topple his government and thereby to prove they are “superior” or that Europe will not give way to a “..tribal upstart from the deserts of Libya!”? The French President thinks that he is safe under the phony oil war of revenge against Gaddafi. Maybe not! Others are finally stepping forward and asking about the invasion against the government of Libya. Are people finally waking up to the extensive nature of this criminal aggression by former colonialist and imperialist countries like France, Britain and Belgium. Do we as Americans really want to be known as war criminals and aggressors against Libya? During Iraq there was a great cry by the anti Bush press concerning “…his war for oil.” Now under the Pro Obama press, we have all anti Gaddafi stories highlighed. Oh, yes, the American press reports a little of the “other side” but always disparages the “Libyan Government “”Minders”” Which is to say that the people showing the reporters some NATO crime are absolutely phony and not believed. Or that the Prime Minister of Libya is just a “stooge” for Gaddafi. Or they will use other hidden code words or tones in their written reports which communicate to the audience that whatever the legal and internationally recognized government of Libya says are lies. Today we even have a so called scientific report from a doctor who gave out questionaires to women in war areas and was surprized at the vastness of the rape that has occured by Gaddafi forces. The doctor points out the similarities of all the 275 reports of rape. However, there is no attempt to medically verify such claims. This author is adamantly opposed to war and declares that rape is a horrible crime and the rapists must be apprehended. However, the story of itself is troubling. That is to say this: There is enough social cohesion still remaining in Libya that such a written survery could be conducted? There is enough government contolled secure areas where a survey specialist could work in safety? The survey forms could be handed out in Arabic, filled out by Libyan citizens whose hushands had been tied up, their children and husband forced to view the women being raped repeatedly, then her husband and children executed in front of her! This is horrendous. This is horrible. This must be thoroughly investigatged, the murdered husbands and children found and the women given immediate medical and psychiatric examination and hospital care. Surely these 275 women must be hospitalized, their husbands and children recovered from the rubble where their murdered and mangled bodies lie in blood and dirt. They must be given proper burials and their murders chronicled by NATO legal teams so that they can have their day in court and justice served. But I hear someone say, that cannot be done because of the chaos of war! Then how was the survey conducted and the crimes reported and how did these horrible murders become known to researchers in Libya?

What About Sarkozy?

A while back I read in the Daily Beast about the French guy Sarkozy. It seems like he wanted to have a sweet heart deal with Gaddalfi but he was rejected by the Libyan leader. As I remember the article the writer claimed that Sarkozy was set to do several things with the proposed deal. He was going to set up very good business deals for the French companies and at the same time get their money and support for him to stay on as President of France. But when Gaddafi nixed the deal, that was a shambles. So Sarkozy supposedly decided to get even and use the naiveté of Barrack Obama and the newness of Cameron to get revenge on Gaddafi. However, the Russians, who were big business partners with Gaddafi for oil and weapons, were thought likely to intervene. Sarkozy then convinced Obama to use Hilary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Gates to convince Menvedev to back down. They succeeded and the Russians did not veto the criminal oil war. Old war hound Putin realized at once the double cross when the Brits and the French attempted to obliterate the Libyan government under the pretext of protecting civilians. (Obama is still falling for that line according to his joint British press conference with Cameron. Or Obama is so enmeshed in the political deceit of the Libyan aggression that he will not confess he was wrong. Does Obama ever think he was wrong? Probably he does but he never admits it to anyone preferring to slaughter innocent Libyans under the guise of humanitarian aid delivered by cruise missiles.) However, Menvedev is running for political survival in Russia and used his Presidential authority and powerful Russian backers to stopper Putin. At this point I wonder as to the rest of the behind the scenes story? Do any of my readers have further information they can share about the politically vicious Zarkozy, or maybe even contrary evidence to exonerate the French war monger? Silent Churches?

Amazing that the major Christian denominations are silent as the Obama Administration bombs the government and the people of Libya into submission. I will no longer say that the USA is doing this because although there IS finally a resolution in the Senate to legitimate the Obama aggression, its proponents are the war monger John Mc Cain, and the swift boat navy guy, Kerry! Besides the Obama administration said today that it is talking to the Congress about its use of military personnel for war in Libya but that it DOES NOT NEED NOR SEEK their approval. All beside the point of this blog. I am amazed at the USA and world Christian community’s silence about this blatant “Resource War” of the Western Imperialist nations of Britain, France and Belgium,–backed by USA and silently assented to by Russia, (shame on Putin for cowardly acquiescence to this Western Imperialism. I guess Russia is now another of the capitalist nations. ) Anyway, the Arab Muslim communities are also silent as the NATO military alliance bombs this Arab Muslim nation into oblivion. The rebels ae not civilians, they are armed and dangerous. They are rebels and in any of the NATO counties such persons seeking to forcefully overthrow their government would be arrested. Obviously the Libyan government would do the same but the rebellion is fostered, promoted, armed, trained and protected by NATO and as is well-known, the combined forces of NATO are fully condoned and supported by Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama. (By the way, what is the tax bill for this undeclared and illegal war?) Not to let any of the others religions off the hook, because the Dalai Lama, the Grand Rabbinic Societies, the Shinto reps, the Confucians, the Hindus, Wicca, and the whole Green movement are also silent. The only voice that has spoken out against the war and pleaded for peace, is the voice of Pope Benedict XVI of the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican State.
