http://news.yahoo.com/romney-parks-millions-offshore-tax-haven-160547876–abc-news.html It seems to this writer that the biggest danger for the Republican party is its self-destruction. At first, all of the debates and the interchanges were hum drum and boring. As time went on, the debates became interesting and there was a hearty and good interchange of thoughts. However, the Iowa vote lead to destructive criticism between the candidates. Now, this has evolved into a full shooting war of personal criticism against the Republican front-runner. The criticism includes his success as a venture capitalist.–Is success as a businessman and creator of jobs considered a deficit? Well, the media pundits including conservatives seem to think it is! The attacks continue against Romney’s generosity to his religion. It seems that the pundits want to uncover some nefarious Mormon conspiracy by their use of innuendo. Additionally, we see the Anti Romney forces unleashing a smear attack like OWS against Romney’s intelligent use of the USA tax code to preserve his money. The idea here is that millionaires like Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, NJ Senator Frank Lautenberg, Congressman Daryl Issa are all OK but millionaire Mitt Romney is some kind of Darth Vader figure to be considered dangerous to the American political system. Add to all of this the obvious disdain of conservative talk show hosts who only vaguely cover their anti Romney bias, and one wonders WHY? a man like Mitt Romney, a person of such obviously admirable accomplishments -why? he would want to subject himself to such burn and pillage tactics from his rivals!!? I guess he believes he is the right man for the job of President of the USA. The others do too. However, their collective self-destruction is being played out on the TV daily. The only beneficiary is Obama. It can be hoped that the Republicans can right the ship but like the Captain of the Concordia they may be more interested in waving to relatives onshore than protecting the safety of the Republican party.

I have gotten a lot of flak for my defense of the Libyan Government. And YES it is still the Libyan government recognized, until France and Britain and the USA waged wage against it, bombed its cities and its citizens into submission and imposed its own Paris based (read the history of these guys.please) puppet goverment it yes, I am disgusted by the lemming nature of USA people to buy into the propaganda of the news media. For instance, the media says it found the grave of one thousand convicts slain by the Libyan government but this is not affirmed by the International Red Cross and other agencies, therefore in admissible ..hey fair is fair…Cameron and Sarkozy have the gall to fly to Libya in a show of victory over the legal government of Libya…how did they win, they won by deception and conspiracy with the United Nations to save the civilians of Libya while they actually used the cover of resolution 1973 to wage brutal illegal aggression against Libya and bombed and destroyed the cities and roads and infrastructure of a modern Libya, WHY…OIL, OIL, OIL..Get real… And the Western secular governments of France and Britain and the USA have used every “legal” tactic to dis credit the legal Libyan government of Gadalfi…hey, I am NOT a fan of the man, but facts are facts, and this writer does not buy the propaganda of lazy lamestream media reporters who never leave their safe hotels rather they report from the drinking bar…get real folks that is what is happening…And now, we have foolish Senator Mc Cain running to Libya on the American taxpayers back and having him proclaim that we, (translated to mean the American Taxpayer) must be committed to the so-called revolutionary government …(translate that to mean that the US Congress is going to send billions of US tax dollars to Libya). Now maybe, if the billions of US tax dollars could be shown to feed the hungry and clothe the naked and house the homeless, Okay! But let’s get real. The billions will be used to increase the bank accounts of the new rulers of Libya and fill their Paris based coffers with American gold while we in USA are jobless and under Obama, becoming homeless.
Herman Cain for President
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/cain-nearly-quit-campaign-florida-straw-poll-says-115734617.html
I don’t have much money, but I would willing to contribute it to the Cain campaign for President. Hey, I’m white and he ‘s black. Just put that in here for the too many people who says things are racially motived. Why do I even mention it because I am honest and want to put things out on the table because too many are not willing to use the “color” word and the USA is going into the “can” because of it. Mr. Cain, as the article notes, is an accomplished, educated, intellectual with credentials that do him and the nation well. I like his candor, I like his Moxie, I like his ideas, and I like his plan for America. Personally, I am for Romney, but I am listening to Herman Cain and the more I hear, the more I like. He is fun. He is refreshingly candid and transparently honest and he just might be the leader we need for President.
Republican Debate
The debate tonight was refreshing. The Republican party is the party of ideas. The Dems may try to tag the Repubs as the party of “no” but this is true only in so far as they are gutsy enough to say NO to wild-eyed, chicken little Dems who think that throwing money at a problem will make the problem go away. Tonight’s debate once again showed the Republican candidates in the light they deserve, namely, the light of their own beliefs, statements and planned programs. Actually, Romney is the only candidate who has put forth a written, concrete, identifiable and investigative plan for the economy and growth of jobs. That shows his courage, his leadership and his qualification to be President for such a time as this. As this writer listened to the debate, my wife said, “I wish that we could have a piece of each one of the candidates.”. I was moved in my core by this astute and deep observation. The political process is that one of the candidates will win, after all, we cannot have eight Presidents. Yet, we need eight Presidents. each of the Republican candidates tonight spoke eloquently in putting forward their vision for America. If only we could distill all of their wonderful and enthusiastic love for America into one ideal person. Sadly, that is not realistic. However, the fact that tonight was so inspiring and that each one of the candidates would equally, as President, love and lead America to a better and brighter future. Well that was what? It was good!
Bill Clinton
http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/bill-clinton-gingrich-2012/2011/09/20/id/411722?s=al&promo_code=D175-1 This is a very interesting article because Bill Clinton is a thinker. It also reveals the respect that President Clinton has for Speaker Gingrich. I always pay attention to President Bill Clinton because he is a moderate Liberal with real life experience, was President for two terms, and was willing to actually compromise, and actually collaborate with the Republican party because unlike President Obama, Bill Clinton loves America, is not an idealog, and can see beyond his predilictions to the realities of the moment.
Romney Experienced Businessman
The key point and it was really a big one was made about Romney. He has been and is a successful businessman. Now many people want to bash the businessman. Obama wants to make them all equal to the worker and “level the playing field” plus Obama is setting up a class warfare based on money earned which is destructive of business in America. Romney has business experience, he has a good respect for and strong support among the business community. He is pro business. That means he is in favor of creating American jobs. The government’s hiring is like the Transportation Security Administration. They are “thousands standing around”…what in the world did these people do before they were hired by the taxpayer to search travelers?… actually they do not search they merely watch you…Anyway, TSA employees, citizens all, and assuredly good and fine citizens, but they do not produce anything. They provide a service, which is to watch me as I pass thru the metal detector…but they have no product…nothing is created…and what we need is business jobs that consume resources like metal and rubber and food and turn it into something else like a boat or a plane or a hot dog…Romney understands government because he was the governor of a populous Eastern State, and he understands business, and this combination of executive experience plus government service and his detailed jobs creation plan, makes him the nominee in my book
The Price of Food Skyrockets
While President Obama is playing politics with our future, the price of food at the supermarket is climbing. While Obama is playing games with our tax future by pretending to tax only the rich, he is actually increasing the amount of money out of everybody’s pocket. While Obama is taxing us 400 billion for his help the Unions job plan, the same Unions plan on spending billions of dues collected from these tax payer funded union jobs. On What will they spend the collected dues? They will spend the tax funded dues to campaign for the election of Obama to a second term. Then he can propose to tax us again to kept the union workers working while the rest of us lose our jobs, take a pay cut in the form of higher taxes. Or if he actually does get elected, and the Republicans lose control of the House of Representatives, we will see the USA enter the final death crisis of a bankrupt economy that has printed too much money, owes foreign nations too much interest and a country that has regulated and taxed its citizens into perpetual poverty.
New Candidates for Public Office
… Subject: Charley Reese’s final column for the Orlando Sentinel… Who do you think is really responsible for the acknowledged 14.3 trillion deficit? A very interesting column.. It is a Congress bashing indictment that seems to exonerate the President but it is a good read to see how some people are willing to set the blame on one side and let the other side get away with irresponsibility. You can find the entire article online. I use only a portion of it for be=revity and because I think this portion reflects the context I want to address in this blog.
…”Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does. You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country. I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress.
This might be funny if it weren’t so true. Be sure to read all the way to the end: Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table, At which he’s fed. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule. Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts anyway! Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think. Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries Tax his tears. Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ass. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won’t be done Till he has no dough. When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more, Tax him till He’s good and sore. Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he’s laid… Put these words Upon his tomb, ‘Taxes drove me to my doom…’ When he’s gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply The inheritance tax. Accounts Receivable Tax Building Permit Tax CDL license Tax Cigarette Tax Corporate Income Tax Dog License Tax Excise Taxes Federal Income Tax Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Fuel Permit Tax Gasoline Tax (currently 44.75 cents per gallon) Gross Receipts Tax Hunting License Tax Inheritance Tax Inventory Tax IRS Interest Charges IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax) Liquor Tax Luxury Taxes Marriage License Tax Medicare Tax Personal Property Tax Property Tax Real Estate Tax Service Charge Tax Social Security Tax Road Usage Tax Recreational Vehicle Tax Sales Tax School Tax State Income Tax State Unemployment Tax (SUTA) Telephone Federal Excise Tax Telephone Federal Universal Service Fee Tax Telephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge Taxes Telephone Minimum Usage Surcharge Tax Telephone Recurring and Nonrecurring Charges Tax Telephone State and Local Tax Telephone Usage Charge Tax Utility Taxes Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Watercraft Registration Tax Well Permit Tax Workers Compensation Tax STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.. What in the heck happened? Can you spell ‘politicians?’ I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!! GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN!!! BTW: since they are the problem, THEY will NOT be the ones to fix the problem, it has to come from “we the people” Blessings, ”
I agree with the sentiment but a rant and rage against all politicians is meaningless. They are there and they are there to stay. But we do not need to have the same ones year in and year out. We the people need to get better informed about what the politicians are actually doing. Forget what they are saying…all of that is rhetoric. Rather, get from the Internet the voting records of your Senator and your Congressman and hold them accountable and if they do not get it straight, then campaign against them and seek to elect somebody else. This writer is in New Jersey. It is a strong Labor Union State and the Labor Unions spend the automatically deducted Union dues in order to conduct massive multi million dollar campaigns to keep the pro union politicians in office. Mine are Frank Lautenberg, a man who is over seventy-five and has fifty million dollars in personal wealth. Like Bloomberg he could buy the office (shame) with his own money. But he doesn’t need to do that, he just needs the union bosses to pay, and they do. Frank can do whatever he wants in the US Senate and he does, as long as the Union bosses agree. We also have Senator Menendez, who always acknowledges your letters but quickly tells you that you are wrong and then proposes to you the Union Boss line of thinking. I do not believe that either Senator has ever been bi partisan, ever crossed the line to vote with the other guy. Their voting record reads like a Harry Reid or Obama play book…if some legislation is initiated by Republicans it is dead on arrival or vetoed in Senate committee. Add to them Steve Rothman another Democrat with bona Fides equaling above two. SO WHAT? This is what. If you agree with the above article then get going to elect Congressmen and Senators who are more reflective of what you think should be done in America. Dump the politicians controlled by the Union Bosses. Dump the fifty million dollar Senator who wants to tax you because you make over 250,000 dollars income. Stop Obama from destroying Social Security by “lowering” the one source of its income, namely the Social Security tax.
What else can you do? Get into the Primary elections in your State and if there are no primaries get one going. What will this do? A primary is a direct challenge to the good old boy cronyism of the local political parties, both Republican and Democrat. In my NJ District the Democrat party just keeps putting up those in office (obviously) and the Republicans run old boy, back room cronies who don’t stand a chance of election because they are selected just to fill the ballot and not as real possible problem solvers for the people. Sarah Palin and Mark Levin the Tea Party movement are the big hope right now for the Primary process. I do not mean as candidates but as educators and encouragers of the local political hopefuls. Palin and the tea party have the knowledge and they have gained the organizational skill to run new and unknown candidates against the political hacks and Union lackeys and entrenched office holders. We don’t need to erase the institutions of government, we need to get involved and put the right people into government.
Obama Blame Game?
President Obama set out a very political speech while insisting that he wants everybody That of itself should tell you all you need to know. But lets go further. He wants to cut social security taxes for individuals and employers. This writer believes that he wants to destroy social security. A cut in social security will create how many jobs? None. A cut in Social Security will help save the Social security system? No it will not but it will further weaken it and destroy the social security system creating the crisis he so onemindedly has pursued. What about encouraging a systematic overhaul of the progressive tax system. How about encouraging business to return money made by sales oversea to the USA by not taxing that money, amounting to many billions of needed investment money to be put to work in USA. The President asked to speak to Congress. The Congress graciously accepted his request and as is the law, it agreed at some great trouble to itself, to invite him. But instead of a speech of was full of Leadership, Obama merely waged his bony finger in their face, and scolded them while attempting to set them up for 100% of the blame. So, what shall the people do? Ignore Obama. We have this guy’s mode of operation and it is not a method of helping America but of destroying America. Secondly, we must see beyond the Obama administrations use of phony class warfare which sets American against American. Thirdly, we need to overcome the blame game and give Congress the chance they need to correct the problem. It is very important to note that the Congress and the Congress alone can allocate the money and reduce the deficit but that through enormous discretionary funding the Presidents, as they have in the three wars, can squander hundreds of billions of dollars annually on destruction while American dies.
Republican Debate-Valid Scores?
I did not watch the first debate and I did not watch the debate last night. I do not like debates. Why? Because as a very young man I listened to the radio broadcast of the Nixon/Kennedy debate and I believed that Nixon was the definitive winner of the debate. However, the paid commentators and political pundits all gave the win to Kennedy. Many have since written that the debate definitely was Nixon’s on content and relevancy. It was Kennedy’s on looks, charm and rhetorical flare. So I do not watch debates. How many others, especially Republicans who are likely to vote, did not watch? Therefore my question is, Did Romney lose and Perry win? And should we care? My vote is that the debates are not real indicators of the quality of a candidate’s potential to be a serious minded President of the USA. What do you think?
