I really thought that there was a chance for a candidate that I completely trusted. I am an independent and lean heavily toward the Republicans. I thought and still think that Ryan/Rubio is the ticket. Alas, that Ryan just will not run for the nomination. For me, this is a sad thing.

Paul Ryan is the Leader America Needs
We need a leader and Representative Paul Ryan is the man of the hour. He understands economics. He also understands the economics needed to get the USA back into play as the greatest economy in the world. This will not only help America, it will help the world. Yes, I am bold enough to say that a Paul Ryan Presidency will make the world a better place.
He is also a very good communicator and what he tells you is the truth. Today we have a lot of double speak, mis-speak and down right lies. We also have a huge amount of political theater by the ” I will veto it Obama” and the “dead on arrival Reid.” We need Paul Ryan because he has sound financial ideas, these ideas are part of an all encompassing plan, and if we implement the plan we will stop this double dip recession, save medicare and Social Security and put America back to work on the road to prosperity.
Paul Ryan loves America. He is a proud citizen of our nation and he has served in our Congress with dignity and integrity. There is little likelihood that like Obama, Ryan would appoint people to his cabinet who, like the President, do not love America .
The names of the people who are endorsing a Ryan bid for the White House show that he would unite and strengthen the Republican party, (see names in the article). It also indicates that Congressman Ryan enjoys across the spectrum political support.
Although I cannot promise it, I also believe that if Paul Ryan wins the nomination from Mitt Romney, that Governor Romney will commit his strong campaign force behind a Ryan drive for the election.
Paul Ryan is a good campaigner, and will be a match for Obama. Paul’s love for the truth will not allow Paul’s respect for the institution of the Presidency to limit him as he refutes the smear campaign certain to be launched against him by the Obama White House.
In every area and according to every criteria, a Paul Ryan Presidency will be very good for America. He is the leader we need.
Trump Wants Obama to Win
Donald Trump is a complete phony. He is a plant for the Democrat machine. He is completely lying about his anti Obama positions. He is being used by the Democrat machine to force a third party candidate who will siphon off the needed votes to insure that Obama wins in 2012. I will make further comment about this later today. I did not get to it, on that day. But I have further consideration of the Donald Trump run as a third party candidate. It is an generally acknowledged concept that when there is a third party it is to the detriment of the Republicans. It is one thing for Trump to proclaim that he is Republican and will try for the nomination. It is a completely different thing for him to run as a third party. To run for the nomination means he is serious about being a candidate but will abide by the will of the majority. To run as a third party is to be a spoiler who intentionally divides the Republican party for the sake of a guaranteed win for the Democrat. If “the Donald” runs as a third party candidate then he is nothing more than a Judas.
Leftist Liberals Hate the Values of the Tea Party Movement
The Tea Party does not exist. That is the fallacy of the hate campaign ingenuously perpetrated by leftist political thinkers. Granted there is a loose confederation of interest groups that share a loosely defined political philosophy of lower taxes, Less Government and strict construction of the constitution. And these entities do ask for money and they do have employees. However, they are not a real political party. Rather they are even less defined that Political Action Committees (PACS) and very much less defined than organized labor unions. Yet leftist political thinkers, like the authors of this book, insist on identifying the Tea Party Movement as analogous to the Democrat or Republican, the Socialist Workers of America, or the Libertarian parties! Why do they do this? I don’t know! But I can guess. It is because the values represented by the Tea Party Movement are rejected by the authors of this study. Much as these same values are rejected by the Democrat party and President Obama, both of whom constantly vilify and demonize the participants of the Tea Party Movement. The constant campaign against this citizen inspired political movement indicates that the leftist political establishment wants very much to discredit the Tea Party Movement as a fringe element of the society and thereby to discourage thinking citizens from adopting this twenty-first century political philosophy.
Kennedy-Bay of Pigs Equals Obama and Libya
This very good article shows that USA Presidents have already made the same mistake that Obama is making. The Libya invasion is completely wrong and the extension of our involvement in Afghanistan is foolish. The key paragraph is this one:

Why are we going out in search of enemies to fight? Stop the war in Afghanistan. Stop the war on the Libyan people.

Obama aired his frustration with the ways of Washington at an event in Michigan before pivoting to his re-election campaign and a pair of big-money fundraisers in New York City.
He delivered a condensed version of that message at a fundraiser at the lower Manhattan home of movie producer Harvey Weinstein, where celebrities Gwyneth Paltrow and Jimmy Fallon, were among the approximately 50 guests who paid $35,800 each to attend.
This is a key paragraph that it is OBAMA who is not cooperating, and constantly playing politics. He says he is against the rich “Fat cats” with their jets and all of that. HE is the one who uses USA owned Air Force One for yet another private party and political fundraiser, at a wealthy persons private residence and it is HE who charges 35 thousand dollars each to hear him speak! I know that he does not come to my house, because I don’t have 35 thousand dollars to throw away on a dinner with him.
Obama said he told his Michigan audience that it deserves better than what it’s been getting from Washington.
“They look at what’s happening in Washington and they think these folks are really from outer space because they don’t seem to understand how critical it is for us all to work together, Republicans, Democrats, independents, in order to move this country forward,” Obama said.
Obama pandered to what he considers our simple stupidity when he refuses to acknowledge that he too is the hated Washington. More of his method of always pointing at the other guy as the problem.
“We’re going to have to get engaged and we’re going to have to speak out,” Obama said. “We’re going to have to register the fact that we expect more and we expect better.”
Here he goes again. He has nothing but scorn for the Tea Party movement. His administration called the Tea party movement activitists, “terrorists”. He accuses the Tea party people of being the cause of all of our financial problems and then he says the above.
Unfortunately what we’ve seen in Washington in the last few months has been the worst kind of partisanship, the worst kind of gridlock, and that gridlock has undermined public confidence and impeded our efforts to take the steps we need for our economy,” Obama said after touring a Michigan factory that makes advanced batteries for alternative-fuel vehicles.
Please stop insulting the collective intelligence of the USA citizens. John Steward may have called the American people “stupid.” and you may have said that those who do not agree with you “…love to cling to their guns and their religion…” Yet, it was only a few days ago that you still, after all this time, did not produce a written budget proposal, asked for a blank check, and threatened to “veto” the results of the congressional debate that was not rancorous nor partisan but civil and patriotic. It was you, Mr. President who failed and exacerbated your failure with your fellow democrat, Harry Reid, who constantly said, “Any bill coming to the Senate from the House is dead on arrival.”
This is like a terrible game of basketball, (a game the president plays a lot ). The player cries foul, when he is the person doing the foul. When this is discovered, he claims that the refs are blind and unfair. Then when this is discovered, he says that we need better refs to enforce the rules. All the time the player continues to foul the opposite team and to try endlessly to win by fouling. Obama crying “foul” all the time is a very big part of the problem.
Assad’s Syria Learned Not to Trust Obama and USA
Syria’s Assad may be a Dictator but he is not a fool. He knows better than to trust the USA and especially a USA under Obama. The USA had a deal with Libya and with Gaddafi and we reneged on the deal. The USA proposed to bring Gaddafi back onto the international scene in return for his giving up terrorism. He did. But we did not honor our promise. We told him we would sponsor his return to a recognized place in the world political order, if he would abandon any attempt at nuclear weapons. He did. But we reneged on the deal and branded him a criminal. We promised to lift trade restrictions and to resume normal relationships with Libya and Gaddafi if he would invest more in his country and less in himself. He did and instead, we betrayed him in the UN and attacked his new cities, his roads, building, TV stations, radio facilities, etc. In every instance where the USA made promises to Libya and Gaddafi under President Bush, the Obama regime reversed course and played Judas betraying every single promise made.
Well Assad, has eyes to see and ears to hear. He has a much stronger military and a much stronger hold on power. He does not trust the West and has ample reason for refusing to cooperate. He just looks to Egypt and sees the long time ally of USA, Hosni Mubarak, who was betrayed by USA and is now in a prison cage, like some sick monkey. Then he looks to Libya, whose country is in ruins, not because of Gaddafi, but because of months of daily bombing by UN condoned and NATO supplied attack bombers, and missiles.
The Obama support for this illegal and criminal war of aggression is disgraceful. The Congress must immediately stop all funding for this “oil war” which is severely hurting the Libyan people because they continue to support their legal government. Further, the Senators, like Mc Cain and Kerry who support this terrible colonialist imperialist war, should look at their own record and retract their war mongering support for this war of aggression. Lastly, the Departments of Defense and State should be warned by the whole Congress that the legally elected Representatives of the American people are not going to idly condone the misuse of America military assets, power, personnel and money in support of this egregious assault against the civilian population of Libya. And then, when we have rebuilt what we have destroyed, maybe in ten years or so, then we can be trusted again. After all, who can trust a liar?
Obama not Helping
The President is constantly saying we need to work, but does he work? It seems he is playing golf, having parties, going on vacation and attending political fund-raisers. When does he study, hear briefings, attend update sessions of each cabinet member and just take the needed time to write down his actual agenda?
The President says we need to cooperate. But then he blames the opposition party for everything. What do you think of a person who says on Monday that it is all your fault, that he takes no blame and that you and your backers are the devil and then turns right around and says, “What we need is more cooperation.”? I think of the President as the Whiner and Divider in chief! Then there is the issue of the so-called Tea Party. What is the Tea Party? According to the President and his administration, including the entire Democrat party, the Tea Party members are the major, if not the sole, cause of all of our problems. Sounds a lot like the Nazi’s who blamed the Gypsies, the Gays and the Jews for all of Germany’s problems. Will the Czars of the Obama administration demand that all citizens affiliated with the Tea Party Movement register as “terrorists?” or be required to wear a yellow tea bag sewn onto their clothing? Will the children of Tea Party affiliated Americans be vilified and mocked in the public school system and be ostracized in the publicly supported colleges? The Obama administration is a seething pot of anger that spews forth boiling condemnations of swaths of American citizens as though these American citizens are the enemy. Maybe they are the enemy of the Obama Administration, but Hey, this is America, after all, and such political opposition is our inherent and constitutional right. I remember that during the Presidential campaign Candidate Obama said that he would not visit West Virginia because they were not his people. I think that avoiding a State you are slated to lose is standard practice, but to actually say that the people of that State are not your people betrays your values. It says that you consider yourself to be President of “your” people, namely those who agree with you, and the others are the enemy! Sad really! A good thing and maybe the finest thing for President Obama to do would be not to run for a second term. It would save a lot of trouble.
Tea Party is good for America
I am the leader of several voluntary organizations. There is one thing that is fearsome, it is apathy. The worst thing that can happen to an organization is for nobody to care. When no one “gives a damn” then the organization is doomed. It’s terminal date has been written by the lack of involvement of its (nominal) members.
America is in trouble. But often organizations do their very best when they are challenged. The pressures of a crisis can cause an apathetic membership to shake off the stupor and rally to the cause.
The Tea party is a grass roots effort at rally. The people involved are not “kooks” or as the Brits accuse, “right wing nutters”. Rather, they are good citizens, working and retired Americans who care about their nation, see it floundering, and want to do their best to help. And the venue they choose is Political organization.
Why? Because they realize that public rally and political pressure are their only means of making a difference. And all of that is very good for America. I really don’t know the actual quote but it goes something like this, All that is needed for a free people to become enslaved is for them to do nothing.
