Are all Liberals Prejudiced? One Wonders!

“…one-sided, overwhelmingly white, aging, anti-gay, anti-immigrant, science-denying districts want.” A person does not need to read any further than this in order to see that the author is herself a narrow-minded, prejudiced bigot with an amazing amount of self-righteous confidence who claims to be analyzing.  However, this article is full of one-sided, myopic stereotypes which discredit her supposed analysis and reveal it to be nothing more than a rant.

Only Obama Can Cause Default

Marc Levin broadcast Monday Oct 14th that only Obama can cause a default.  According to Levin, the US Constitution charges the President with the responsibility to pay all the debts of the USA.  It seems that Congress has the power of the purse but the President is the actual writer of the check.  Levin stated that under Article One of the USA Constitution the President is required to prioritize the accounts payable to assure that the government does not default.  Therefore, Levin stated, it is President Obama and Obama alone who decides whether the USA defaults.  Furthermore, Levin said that there is enough money presently in the USA checking account with billions coming in daily plus the end of year payments which can easily fund payments to our creditors.

The President, however, is constantly stating that it is the House of Representatives who will cause the USA to default.  Obama has broadcast again and again that Congress, namely, the House of Representatives, that is causing default and should be held responsible.  Levin, however, said that the Congress is powerless over default because the Constitution specifically states that the payment of our accounts payable is solely the duty of the President.  If the President refuses to pay the debts of the USA he is not carrying out his legal responsibilities, and he is not keeping his oath to support and defend the Constitution of the USA.

Levin made one power filled comment during his three hour program, namely, that the only job of the President of the USA is to uphold and defend the Constitution of the USA against its enemies, both foreign and domestic.  That is it.  Nothing else, at least in this matter of the credit of the USA, matters!

Marc Levin went on to say that he believes the Obama government is trying to usurp the power of the House of Representatives by insisting on seizing for the President the power of the purse and of passing laws and of raising taxes.  These explicitly enumerated powers are given exclusively to the Congress by the Constitution.  If the President tries to seize these powers for himself, he is acting against the Constitution and his oath of office and should be indicted by the House of Representatives by articles of impeachment.

Levin’s comments are very informative.  Unlike the above citied news article which accuses Obama of all sorts of egregious behavior, the Levin argument is based solely on the Constitution and the potential accusation that the President is not upholding, defending and protecting the Constitution.

Additionally, the present actions of Obama put him in the position of antagonist and enemy of the House of Representatives and by his many statements that the House is hostage to the so-called Tea Party adherents, who Obama claims are to be rejected, the President positions himself to illegally seize the powers of the House for himself, thereby abolishing the House and becoming a ruler.  This kind of ruler would not be checked or balanced by the House of Representative and would be ruling by presidential directive also called a dictate.  Obama would then be a dictator.

This writer is not putting this before you because I have any desire impeach Obama.  However, if Marc Levin’s interpretations are correct, and if future days play out a scenario such as he envisions, I also would strongly state that the House is required by the Constitution to present articles of impeachment against such a seizure of power by the President.

Listen to Obama and He Tells You What He is Doing

When Obama complains about the House of Representatives he is telling you what HE is doing and not necessarily what the House is doing.

He starts his radio talk by saying that the lack of communication does not need to be this way.  Translation in reality:  Please ignore that I have repeatedly refused and still refuse to negotiate with the people’s elected representative. Instead, blame them because they have insistently asked me to have a conversation with them which I have insistently refused to do.

Then Obama goes on to say that the demands of the people’s elected representatives is extortion and he will not bow to their demands.  Translation in reality:  I will not allow them to do what is their constitutional duty unless they agree in advance to give me what I want.  Please ignore my repeated threat of veto and ignore my Senate spokesman Harry Reid’s refusal to allow the House to pass legislation.  Instead blame the Republicans in the House who are hostages some bogeyman called the Tea Party Movement.

Lastly, Obama prefers to deal with his democrat party majority in the Senate for a budget resolution.  That is because he is confident that Harry Reid will continue to force every bill sent over by the House is Dead on Arrival.  That is if Harry even allows the House bills to be entered into the Senate agenda and not thrown into the garbage as soon as the papers arrive.

Not it does not have to be this way.  As Obama says, the branches of Government should not be antagonists and shout each other.  Translation:  Please ignore that I constantly used negative names for the House leaders and elected representatives.  Ignore that I always blame them and former President Bush for all the problems I have created.  Ignore that I have run up a seven trillion dollars deficit in four years.  Forget that I bribed Senators Nelson and Landrieu with federal funds in order to get Obama Care to pass.  And forget that on every vote in the Senate all, that is 100 percent, of the Democrat Senators always vote for Obama, against the House in order to stop all legislation from being enacted.

So the lesson learned is that we should listen to Obama.  But not to look at those he accuses.  Rather, to take his accusations and look directly at him because his accusations tell us what HE is doing.

Does Rep. Cummings think we are fools?

It is beyond amazing that suddenly we have one lower level Republican IRS agent who claims that he and he alone is totally and completely responsible for the whole IRS scandal and Rep. Cummings tells the nation that alright, we finally found this lone Republican guy and all the scandal is wrapped up.  So he thinks we should just stop immediately, put this whole sorry scandal in a box and shelve it.  Amazing, that Democrats could find this lone Republican to take the sole blame.  Amazing, that the Democrats always knew that it was a conservative Republican who was to blame.  Amazing, that this relatively low level IRS employee should think of himself so highly as to believe that he and he alone is the center of the IRS scandal.

This writer believes that Rep. Cummings has found his knave and now he wants everybody to just move on.  It reminds me of Hiliary who said concerning Benghazi that ” Who cares now, they are dead, the deed is done, so let’s move on.”

It seems that the Democrat motto is that No one is ever to be held accountable except a Republican.

It is actually insulting that our Democrat congressmen think so little of the citizens as to dismiss our intelligence with “proof” of the bogey man under the bed.

Obama Should Stop Using Air Force One

More empty symbolism from Obama.  He gives back five percent of four hundred thousand, or twenty thousand dollars.  Good.  But if he used Air force one 10% less, he would save the government $179,000 each time.  So ten times equals 1 million 700 thousand which could be used to pay peoples salary.  The President doesn’t pay for anything, not food, or shelter, heat, light, water, lawn, repairs, phone, TV, travel.  All are 100 % paid for by the taxes of the same workers he is claiming to favor.  Even Obama’s lavish White House parties and hollywood studed extravaganzas are paid for by the taxes of the people.  Stop the lavish parties, I don’t mean State dinners which are a requirement of the office of President.  I mean the very expensive lavish and extravangant weekly private parties for his friends and political supporters.  Then cut all use of Air force one when used for political speeches and political Democrat fund raising and campaigning.  I guess, that would probably save tens of millions, all of which could be directed to funding the salaries of the federal workers he so publically supports.  But then, it seems, Americans and the media are more impressed with Obama’s drama instead of his actual accomplishments.  Its all style over substance.

It is the President and the Administration that is Stopping a Solution to the Fiscal Cliff

“I can tell you the most recent promise the president has broken. He campaigned on a balanced approach to deficit reduction with more spending cuts than increased taxes. He even talked about it in the 2nd or 3rd debate. Instead he is proposing to raise taxes $1.6 trillion (the first year he has already outlined how it is to be spent on “stimulus” so no deficit reduction there at all). The spending cut is a POSSIBLE $400 billion over 10 years but nothing definite outlined.
For those of you who are math deficient, that is $4 in tax increases for every $1 of possible (but not likely) spending cuts. ”

It is very distressing to see the willingness of our people to accept the lie that the President only wants to tax the top two percent while everybody else gets a tax cut.  The facts of the President’s proposal are exactly opposite to what he tells the people.

Secondly, Pres. Obama wants the Congress to give away its right to review the debt ceiling and approve or deny raising it.  Why should they?  The Constitution gives the power of the purse to the Congress, specifically the House of Representatives.  When they are asked to give up this right, then we the people who voted for them are asked to give up this right.  We should not do it.

The Daily Beast newsletter may believe that it is right, just and proper for Obama to take revenge on the Republicans of the Congress for opposing him.  I do not agree.  The Congress is supposed to prevent tyranny by a systematic review of the Executive and the Judicial just as these branches of government are, in turn, to review the Congress.  This is not a system of revenge politics as proposed by Pelosi and Reid.  It is the Constitution.

Lastly, I believe that the rules of our social contract intend that the President is the President of the whole nation and not only of those who voted for him.  He is not supposed to be the President of the Democrats and the enemy of the Republicans.  If the Daily Beast believes such foolishness, then Obama is supposed to be the enemy of 48 percent of the citizens and the friend of the remainder.  If that is the case, can anyone blame the 48 % of the citizens to do all in their power during the next four years to opposed Obama who, in this case, is said to be their enemy?

Yes, the Democrat party won the Presidency but that is no excuse for attempts to destroy the Republican party.  Likewise, the Republicans won the majority in the House of Representatives and that is no excuse for always opposing the Democrat President.  The same applies to the Senate.

This writer is distressed by all of what Secretary Geithner calls “political theater.”  I agree that it is a necessary part of the political process, however, he then turns around and says that the House of Representatives, symbolized by the Speaker, is required to prove to the Executive how much they are willing to raise taxes.  That is absurd.  The Constitution gives the power of taxation to the Congress and not the President. Secondly, the House need prove nothing to the President.  He is required to submit his proposals to the House and they are required to debate, argue and either accept, reject or modify them.  What Geithner here proposes is to accomplish the legislation in a conference with the White House before it is even submitted to the Congress.  I disagree.

Let the President put his proposal to the House.  Let the administration, by using their Congressional Democrat proxies, argue their case before the full 495 Representatives.  And let the House vote and send it onto the Senate.  Only in this way will progress be made.

And Senator Harry Reid should stop bragging that any House of Representatives budget proposal that is not pre approved by Obama is Dead On Arrival in the Senate.  Who is the obstructionist in this process? There are many and they are:  The President, Nancy Pelosi, Reid, Geithner.  What the Republicans are trying very hard to do is to play according to the rule book which is called the Constitution.  There may be some who adhere to the Revenge politics advocated by the Daily Beast.  I do not.

Obama Missed The Mark and Failed the Sale

The Democrat convention tried to shock, insult and frighten the voters with wildly false and baseless accusations.   The fact remains that we have run up an additional five trillion in debt we owe to others.  We have 23 million people out of work.  College students are living at home because they have large loans and no jobs or prospect of  jobs.  We have Obama care which will take away Medicare Advantage by 2014 when the law is fully enacted.  Those who hoped for change saw it in the social area with acceptance of the concept of government paid abortion, and government paid contraception.  They saw it in the military with the acceptance of  gay, transgender, lesbian personnel.  It also showed in increased federal lawsuits against States like North Carolina and Arizona as they attempted to protect their States against fraudulent voters and illegal immigrants.  It even revealed itself in the Presidential executive orders that went behind the back of Congress to carry out Obama’s will against the enacted law and against the 535 elected representatives of the people. 

The main point is that the Obama administration has not been successful in stopping our economic decline nor has it created an environment for business owners of all sizes to create jobs.  Obama’s speech intimated that with better times, hopefully to come, the government will be able to create jobs.   Government jobs are always paid with tax dollars.  And tax dollars come from successful business and working citizens.

Obama says he will build roads and bridges.  We do that already and it doesn’t solve the need of our college graduates for jobs.  Infrastructure is paid with tax dollars.  He says we will have better education.  We already have the best in the world for the most citizens.  So, if the plan, is for the Obama to allow students not to pay back their student loans, well, that is more tax dollars spent. Remember taxes come from profit-making businesses and employed workers.

But people will tell me that when we are out of the War in Afghanistan then we will lots of money.  The war is paid for by loans so any money saved by bringing the troops home,  the so-called peace dividend, is a fantasy and not a fact.  Bottom line?  Obama’s speech indicates the same failed ideas that got us into the 16 trillion dollars of debt, namely, more and more government spending and more and more government control over our lives.  Question?  How will he pay for it.

At first more borrowing.  Then he will print more money to inflate (cheapen) our dollar.  Then as the clamor from our creditors and ourselves rises, he will tax all of us.  Oh, yes, he will say he is taxing only the wealthy – an old class warfare trick of communists to divide and destroy the opposition forces.  And when he taxes all of us, he will smilingly tell us that we demanded it and even mandated the new taxes  because we re-elected him.  He will say, “you wanted it and now, I am giving it to you.”

President Obama is very good at saying empty words that are carefully selected.  The intent is to encourage  us to fill his words with our own meaning.  But his meaning for the words is not what we intend for ourselves but what he intends to do to us.  The President, facing a re-election campaign, did not deliver on his promises in the first term, he will not deliver on his promises in the second.  What could we do to him in the second? I shudder in remembering, his whispered words to the Russian Prime Minister, ” Tell Vladimir, that after I win election I will be free ….”  Those are very frightening words that tell us that what he says and what he intends to do are not the same.

American Currency Downgrade

I get a lot of Email concerning the issue of American currency downgrade.  Porter Stansberry has predicted it for a long time.  I have read his warnings and watched the news for a year now and it seems that his predictions are coming true, incrementally.  This is natural because you would not consider that the world’s powerful would allow you and me to get out before they can fortress themselves against what they are about to do.  Now Leeb agrees.  I am seeing a consensus tendency in Gue.  So I thought to send this copy of Leeb’s presentation out for your information.  My previous sending of information from my Thrivent for Lutherans representative was very highly received and doubled my readership.  Beware!!, I am not a financial advisor and do not recommend anything (caveat required) but I do want to share with you the stuff I get in my Email that I think is of significance for your consideration.  And Yes, I do support Romney and Ryan becuase I think these are two of the brightest and best financial people we have today who are willing to go out and be heckled and smeared in order to lead us out of the morass of our 15 trillion dollar debt before it is too late.  And when all of this happens, classs warfare will be meaningless because the super wealthy will also have fortresses and the middle class will already hav e be duped into its’ own self destruction by the politics of jealousy, hate and division.   No matter your politics, however, I think the information regarding the possible financial destruction of US dominance in world trade is very inportant for all of us to read.  Please click and consider.

Paul Ryan in his Own Words

This is a really great video and I do mean great.  Why?  Because it gives us Paul Ryan in his own words.  A lot of people are saying what they think Paul Ryan is saying.  Many others are giving us their opinions of what they think he is saying.  Today, even some of the panelists on Bret Braier (Fox) seemed not to actually know the facts about what Congressman Ryan believes regarding the fiscal crisis in USA.  Well, there is no excuse for not knowing exactly what Representative Ryan is saying because of You Tube.  There are hundreds of video’s of Mr. Ryan speaking at a host of venues and clearly articulating exactly what he says and definitively what he means.  Besides, Mr. Ryan is nice to look at, he has a pleasant voice and a dynamic style as he makes his case for fiscal responsibility.  Be informed and do not let others do your thinking for you.
