Young People Rallies?

http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/World/Story/STIStory_635936.html

Do all the young people at the rallies in Arab countries, in Wisconsin, USA, and in Belgium Are they all employed?

Do they pay rent or a mortgage? Do they pay for their own tuition, food, clothes?  If they do – fine let them cry for anarchy.  But if they do not pay the bills and the taxes, then let them be quiet.  Why?  Because when there is nobody who is required to work for them and there is nobody with the cash to pay their bills, and there are no longer government workers or private employees to pick up their trash, empty their toilets and deliver them their free house and clothes and the like, then they will all turn coward, run scared, and after they bitch and moan, they will allow the demogogue to take power with promises that the government will be their mommy.  Then all the young will point the finger at their parents, as they always have, and accuse them of not stopping the coming tyranny that will enslave them for one thousand years.

is this really fair?

I do not wrestle so I do not know too much about it.  And I absolutely agree that boys are equal to girls.  As a matter of fact, I completely endorse women in full combat roles.  I do not see a difference between a man getting killed and a woman getting killed.  Yet, I wonder if it is really necessary to have girls on “boys?!” wrestling teams?  Hey, it’s not the end of the world but what do you think?

Is Bill O’Reilly a Closet Obama Fan?

Hey! the Obama Interview aside, I wonder if Bill O’Reilly voted for Obama.!?  Right after the 2008 election I thought Bill O’Reilly was a Obama man.  Then it seemed that he soured on the President.  This antipathy to President Obama increased the more the Stock Market, and especially GE declined.  Then there was a period when I thought I heard Mr. O’Reilly pleading for an interview with the Prez.  During that “whining” time, I thought that Bill was “fair and balanced” toward the Prez.  But immediately leading up to “THE INTERVIEW” and ever since, “THE INTERVIEW” I seem to be hearing Bill O Reilly fulfilling the answer to his last interview question ” What can we do for YOU, Mr. President?”  Well, this viewer does not think that The Factor needs to help the Pres. get elected again in  2012.

First Tea Party in USA and then Protests In Egypt

We had our leftist terrorist riots and burnings and bombings in 1970’s.  Defeated, they went “establishment” and like Ayers they also went Academic.  But the rest of us stayed calm and organized.  President Obama may be their man, a community organizer, who organized to bring the radical left into control of the government.  But this IS America and there are fifty sovereign States, with fifty Governors and fifty legislatures.  So, the rest of us stayed calm, and now we have organized behind the movement of ” Tea Party” activists who can pack the Mall in Washington, D.C. and can organize the voters in Primaries and the General Election.  Let ALL elected officials beware, the police will not baton us, the Army will not quell us, because we will not riot, but we will organize, recruit and we definitely will vote.  So, Senator Lugar is wrong to tell the citizens to “get real”.  Who’s reality is he talking about?  Obviously, at 78 years old, he thinks that his opinion and mode of operation is “real’! In fact, he thinks it is the only reality.  Well, let’s prove to him that he needs to retire, as does Olympia Snow and Scott Brown, and Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid, and of course, NANCY and all the rest of the elected officials who put themselves and their personal opinions before the intent and directions of the people.  We may not pitch our tents in the square before the White House, but we sure know how to get out the vote.

End Both Wars Immediately

We gave Iraq their freedom, now let them defend it themselves.  If they cannot or will not, tough luck, Charlie.  As regards Afghanistan, that is a hell hole of a place.  Let the Russians and the Iranians worry about it.  Let’s save the 158 billion, BRING THE TROOPS HOME. Yes, they may be un employed here, ( if they leave the Army) but at least they will not die for ungrateful and arrogant Islamic cultures.

Tell Iraq where to shove it.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110217/wl_nm/us_iraq_usa_damages

As a soldier (COL) retired who served four years in support of Iraqi freedom (stateside) I find this article appalling and a desecration to the memories of thousands of US war dead and an insult to the thousands more injured and maimed in defending the Iraqi people against themselves, their fanatical Jihadists, their human bomb terrorists and their violent culture.  Instead, we demand that the Iraqi government immediately disavow this article, publically criticize those who made it and apologize to the American people for such insensitivity.

About Senator Scott Brown

Sad story and I am sorry for him and now that (for whatever reason) he has gone public, I am sorry for his family. Look, I am a Republican and I just don’t see what his abuse has to do with anything or anyone, other than himself. Now, let me say. I was not abused. But I was disciplined. I was not abused but I witnessed domestic fighting and hollering and even physical pushing and knocking around. I was not abused but I witnessed the use of the strap and it was not pretty. I was not abused but I saw the destructive efforts of alcohol. So I must ask the question, why does someone go public with their very sad and horrific story of abuse? I really am confused. Look, we know it happens. We know it is bad. We have plenty of educational material and social service, religious and governmental agencies to address it. And let me be very clear, I do not believe it should ever be in the closet. None the less, what’s the point for Senator Scott Brown to make these revelations, now? I don’t understand. It seemed like he had handled it all. It seemed like he was a well adjusted individual who had coped with the problems of his life, come out on top and moved on. Now we see it differently. And Yes, I am sorry for him and as I said, for his family. But what’s the point? Are we supposed to take his example as our example and all rush out and confess and lament about all of the various forms of difficulty we survived as children. Hell, I could do that. But I am not a Senator and I just don’t see the point. I mean there is a trace of self centeredness in public officials revelations of their childhood trauma. So, what? I really don’t know what to make of this?! I am sorry for him, but although some would say he was courageous to “out” this private and personal information, I do not call that courage. Yes, if he privately told his wife. And Yes, if he prepared and warned his children. But to go to the public media and tell your story. What’s the point?

An Answer to one those annoying anti religion people.

This is a response to an article about NASA and an asteroid.  The blog comments on the asteroid had a goodly number of people responding that this proves there is no God, that science is the answer to everything and that all religious people, (excluding muslim) should wake up and get with the program!  So I wrote the following:  The asteroid has nothing to do with religion. The rock in space is what it is, namely, a rock in space. The space probe and the magnificent scientists who brought it so close, have nothing to do with religion. They are simply magnificent scientists. Bravo to them and keep up the great work. We all benefit from the extension of knowledge and the practical improvements that result. People who are always seeing everything as a proof for or a proof against religion, well, they are the ones with the problem. Grow up, dear friends, religion and spiritual matters have to do with humans and their comprehension and understanding of the forces that made all of this stuff. Sure, you have every right to be an evolutionist. Have at it. But also examine what evolutionary philosophy, not evolutionary science, has to say about you. Evolutionary science is just that science. Evolutionary philosophy, which is extrapolated from the science, has this to say about you. 1. You are a freak of nature because you are an accident. Yes, your parents had at it, but you could have just as well been the drip down your daddy’s pants. 2. All human life is accidental. It is the result of helter skelter, serendipity. Therefore, there is no reason for your existence, you just are a mistake. Even planned births are open to at least a fifty fifty chance of failure. 3. Since you are a mistake, there is no purpose for your life other than to eat, drink and shit. Oh, yeah, if you want to create others like yourself, you can have sex without a condom. Maybe a bull in rut, so to speak. 4. You have achieved whatever it is that you may have achieved by the random forces of blind and uncaring fate. Therefore, be proud of being the top of the food chain, the killer carnivore who alone among all creatures, kills for the mere enjoyment of the kill. 5. When you die, you just disintegrate into nothingness. There is no after life. There are no ghosts or disembodied spirits. You just turn to shit. All that you are, all that you have thought, felt, loved, maybe even created, merely rots into mush and mud. Friend, that’s all great, and believe it all you want. And hope that others do not believe it, because as they too are in the same situation, then you are their target and their next meal. So too are your family, especially your children since they are the easiest prey. Conclusion? Well, for me, I will serve God. And so does my household. And if ontologically there is no God, at least religion will bring me the benefits of self-esteem, encouragement, psychic healing, a wholesome regard for myself, my earth and my co travelers. And if existentially I make the decision to believe and so to live, that is my choice and I am a getting big thrill out of it.

Can we Long Wait for a New Election? Maybe not!

America is a democratic republic and we are people of law.  We act in an orderly fashion because of our constitutional government.  But the wait for correction of an errant government, especially of a President who does not like the people he “rules”- well the wait is onerous and burdensome.  Yes, we threw off the yoke of Nancy Pelosi but she is still there.  And Harry Reid is still carping his brand of power politics (the people be damned) in the Senate.  Now, we have this so called “budget” which increases taxes, increases spending and doubles the size of government.  All of this while the President claims that the budget is austere, a downsizing and fiscally responsible!  But the facts remain: There are fifteen tax hikes in the bill.  All of this in spite of a projection that the national debt now equals the national income.  That means that every dollar we produce is immediately paid to our creditors, namely the Chinese and I think the French and the Germans are in there too, salivating over our demise and the day when they will own us and we will work for them.  Maybe there is a lesson from Egypt.  Maybe we do not need to wait.  Maybe we need to take to the streets and peacefully protest against our President and his Senate Democrat cronies.  Hey!  it only took them 20 days.  Do you think we too can do it?  It may just be worth the inconvenience?!
