USA Intervention prolongs Tyrany and Prevents Democracy

It is this authors opinion that the progress of democracy is inevitable.  I also believe that it is the best form of government for all people’s worldwide.  Additionally, I wholeheartedly support efforts to educate, advocate and promote peaceful democracy worldwide.  However, war is a terrible thing and as we learned in our own Revolution and Civil War a great many people die prematurely for something which is so inevitable that we do not need bloodshed for its achievement.  And for those conservative pundits who argue with me on this, well!  Have you been in the US military?  Is your child in the US military?  Have you been confronted with the agony of mobilization and deployment?  Yes, I have and so have my children.  So, before we go wrapping everything in the flag, let’s talk. Okay.

Democracy has many forms, including limited democracy such as a real monarchy, and on to parliamentary democracy and a Republic like the USA.  However,  there is not one form that fits all societies.  A tribal system such as Libya and Iraq may not be historically, culturally or ethnically suited for USA style democracy.  Rather, ethnic, cultural, religious and societal uniqueness may require that democracy be tailored to the local situation.

And I completely agree that many societies in the Middle East of our world are seeking a greater form of democratic society.  However, in distinction from my colleagues, I suggest that democracy was and is inevitable in these societies and that the modern interconnected Internet world, would and will, sooner than later, achieve that democracy, worldwide.  However, in many countries and societal situations the so-called “powerful” need to learn the new methods of power and government.  It is my belief that they would have, and they will learn the modern way without violence, bloodshed and death.  It is inevitable.

But, many object, that in the societies of the Middle East, it is taking too long.  First, I ask you, if you are a citizen of the country you criticise?  If not, shut up.  It is none of your business and don’t spout the crap about “you are your brothers keeper”.  When you leave your USA armchair and travel to the streets of the struggle and face the bullets, then maybe, and only maybe, then you will have a little right to speak.  Hey, brother, please don’t tell me what I must die for.  You die in my place, okay? And then, I will religiously lay a wreath at your grave. Deal?

It is this author’s opinion that much of the violence and the death happening worldwide and especially in the Mid East is caused by geopolitical aims and seeks to falsely use democracy as the excuse for the extension of a western economic imperial model that has nothing to do with the “quality of life” of the protagonists and a lot to do with the wealth and continued economic imperialism of western governments and corporations.

Rather, let’s not arm the rebels.  Let’s educate them on civil organization and political reality.  But, you say, that we tried that and it failed.  Did it?  In my opinion, it did not fail. It simply did not meet our expectations.  We will need to extend our timelines and get real about what is possible now and what can only be achieved later.

Friends, I will not dictate that for which you must die.  Rather, I will do everything I can to promote your freedom within the context, society and culture in which you live.  In the end, the result will be the same because freedom and I believe, democracy, are inevitable.

Graham and Mc Cain War Oriented

http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2012/02/20/senators-want-to-arm-syrian-rebels.html?utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=cheatsheet_morning&cid=newsletter%3Bemail%3Bcheatsheet_morning&utm_term=Cheat%20Sheet

It continues to disturb this writer that Senator Mc Cain is a very hostile person who wants war, armaments and interventionist policies to prevail.  We intervened in Egypt with our President Obama saying that our long time friend Mubarak “Must go”.  The result is chaos in Egypt and a military government trying to prevail against radical terrorist Muslims, and Islamic radical mobs burning Christian Churches, terrorising Christian business people and threatening to make Christianity illegal in Egypt.  Then we supported the rag-tag rebellion against the sovereign government of Libya, which government was a UN member, forsworn against terrorism and nuclear armament in return for USA consideration.  But our government changed from George W. Bush and Condie Rice to Barrack Hussein Obama and Hilary Rodman Clinton, both of whom reneged on USA promises, backed the UN resolution 1973 against Gaddafi, and supported the 2300 bombing raids, the 225 cruise missile attacks, and the use of the terrifying A 10 anti personnel aircraft against the legal, uniformed and legitimate military forces of the sovereign UN recognized Libyan government.  The result is chaos, a weak central government and the fear that the approximately 10 to 20 thousand shoulder launched missiles of the Gaddafi government are now being funneled to A Qaeda.  Hey, folks, the so-called terrorist Gaddafi and his military forces did not use those anti-aircraft, anti tank, anti naval missiles!  Why not?  Because they believed assurances that the UN resolution 1973 protected them against the murderous rebels. Instead, Gaddafi was brutalized and obscenely murdered, his son killed, and his supporters rounded up and quietly exterminated by the new “freedom loving??” Libyan government.  The Syrian Government is also an independent sovereign State, member of United Nations and engaged in a brutal civil war.  And yes, the legally constituted government and the legitimate uniformed military forces and police of that government have been brutal in suppression of the civil war.  However, in the USA, it is illegal for anybody to advocate the violent overthrow of the USA Federal or State government. In fact, if such an armed conflict broke out in the USA, the penalty is death by firing squad or hanging.  Such death by bullet or rope, could under a military emergency and martial law, be administered by the USA military forces in summary field executions. So, friends, before we fool-heartedly get involved in yet another illegal military adventure, let’s be honest with ourselves and tell the world, especially the Russians, that we intend to continue to foment revolution in their backyard and they had better get used to the idea.  And then, when the Russians visit Mexico and try to overthrow that government, we too, had better get used to the idea.  And by the way, why shouldn’t the Iranians stop selling oil to France and UK.  It’s their oil from their land and if they don’t want to sell it to their enemies, France and UK, well, that’s their business.  We don’t sell to the Iranians because we say that they are our enemies.  So who is the hypocrite here?

Will US Admin and US Congress Condemn Sudan

http://www.newsmax.com/TheWire/Sudan-Graham-Heiban-Bible/2012/02/02/id/428361

The question is: Will the US Government and the US Congress condemn the government of Sudan for bombing a Christian Bible College? The US Obama government backed uprisings against Mubarak in Eqypt even though it was suspected the results would be persecution of innocent Christians.  Subsequent events in Egypt proved that not only innocent Christians are persecuted but also moderate Muslims and social activities.  In Libya, the US Obama administration backed the wonton and wholesale bombing of the Sovereign government of Gaddaffi even though it was suspected that the NTC rebels were a front for European colonalist and imperialist powers.  The results have proven the colonialist and imperialist takeover is now threatened by an Islamic fundamentalist extremism that persecutes Sufi Muslims and Ethnic Christians.  In Tunisia, the US Obama administration hailed and supposrted the “Arab Spring” which is now instituting strict Islamic religious (Sharia) law upon a moderate Moslem population.  Now we have the government of Sudan using its air force to bomb and destroy a Christian Bible College.  The Obama Administration and the US Congress must not only condemn this action but also raise the issue at the United Nations of Islamic genocide against Christians.

Libyans on Wednesday wept over the graves of those killed in their six-month war against Moammar Gadhafi, then celebrated their newfound freedom with morning prayers and joyous chants in the capital’s main square — bittersweet rituals marking the start of a major Muslim holiday

The prayer leader urged the crowd not to seek retribution against Gadhafi loyalists. “No to revenge, yes to the law that rules between us and those who killed our brothers,” he said. “Let there be forgiveness and mercy among us.”

Wednesday marked the start of the three-day holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which caps the holy fasting month of Ramadan. The start of the holiday is determined by the sighting of a new moon, and several countries in the Arab world started marking the holiday on Tuesday. Morning visits to cemeteries are part of the Eid al-Fitr tradition across the region

Why do the secular news reporters always talk about the “holy” prayers, the Mosque worship, and give extensive explanation of Muslim religious festivals.  Yet, these same secular reporters insist on a strict separation of Church and State in the US and on the major Christian holy days in the USA we read about the Santa Claus and the Easter bunny?  Are the Muslims worthy of respect for their religion but USA Christians are to be barely tolerated?

Is America a Criminal Aggressor?

The USA Administration is phony.  It declares an Arab Spring when Obama visited Cairo after his election.  Then it stalls at first and then fully condemns Mubarak, ignoring the Islamic fundamentalist threat.  At the same time it tells Israel to go back to pre Arab War borders.  It also is mild with Syria while joining in the vile and violent illegal and criminal aggression against Libya.  Then it ignores the Ivory coast dictator and continues with Sarkozy to bomb Libya.  Then it continues to refrain from any UN action against Syria while we watch hundred of civilians kills in the streets of Damascus and Hama and elsewhere in Syria.  But we continue to bomb Libya along with Cameron who is complicit with Sarkozy in illegal criminal aggression against the legal government of Libya.  Meanwhile we completely ignore the Jihadist attempts to take over Somalia while ten thousand people there die of hunger.  But we continue to bomb Libya.  And while Assad destroys the entire city of Hama, we threaten to isolate him but completely rule out any action, yet we continue to bomb Libya.  What is there inside of Libya that Sarkozy, Cameron and Obama want?  OIL…this is a terrible return to Western European Territorial aggression by former colonialist and imperialist France, Britain and Belgium . I speak of this on my BloG Talk Radio podcast

Are Terrorists Just Killers?

http://beta.news.yahoo.com/22-killed-suicide-car-bombings-south-baghdad-061818343.html

After all these years and after all the efforts of the Alliance, the USA, the Democratically elected government of Iraq, there is still bombings, suicide missions and assassinations?  What do these so-called terrorists want?  A person cannot deal with someone else who just kills and kills but has no specific agenda other than the killing.  Is it time for all of us to recognize that the terrorist is merely a cold-blooded killer who uses the cover of terrorism as an excuse for carnage?  As difficult as it is for Westerners to understand, it seems that these Arab countries are still very tribal and that they are willing to randomly kill a lot of people of the other clan.  They do it simply because the people are of the other clan.  Yes, it may also be because the other people are of a different Islamic sect.  Anyway, we did away with the “horrible” dictator Saddam and unleashed the terror and the horror and the insanity of the groups that he suppressed.  So, although we would like to think that the Islamic Arab nations are like the Christian West, they are not.  The Western culture, politics and social structure is formed by and informed by a 2000 year history of Christianity.  (Yes, Christianity as a religion has its faults but the fact of it being a core formational aspect of Western society cannot be denied.) The Islamic counties are also informed by a long history of Islam.  However, they are still in a tribal period of development and their societies still practice religiously motivated brutal murder and clan warfare without any significant resistance or objection on the part of the Islamic leadership.  In fact, it is a fearful prospect that it is Islam itself that fosters such extremely violent behavior.  So what to do?  This writer opposed the Iraq war and the Afghanistan war because it was the intervention of Western Christian and Western political systems into areas that were thoroughly Islamic and functioned politically in a radically tribal way.  I believed that the injection of twentieth century concepts into a 7th or 8th century culture was not productive and could cause the chaotic violence which we have witnessed.  So, what to do?  The USA should continue to use it moral, cultural, religious, and political influence in these areas in a peaceful way.  We should not resort to regime chance, political assassination of leaders such as Hussein and Gaddafi, nor should we foment political upheaval through the CIA.  All of these methods are not effective and the evidence of these past years seems to vindicate that our interference in the region is counter productive.  The violence that follows the dictators that we remove is equal to if not greater than the dictator!

Libyans Have the Right of Free Speech.

The rebels are in retreat again.  Take away foreign intervention and the so-called popular uprising is easily defeated.  Where are the five million civilians who are supposed to be rebels?  Obviously, if even a majority of the people wanted Gaddafi out, they would shelter, feed, fund and join the rebels.  But the people do not!  Is it possible that this is actually a minor rebellion of radical former military people who are themselves, like Gaddafi ,  seeking to seize control of Libya?  And the so-called leadership of the rebellion.  USA acknowledges it knows next to nothing about them, and our Sec. State has meetings with well dressed, expatriats who fled to France and lived in luxury while ordinary Libyans slogged through their daily life under the regime.  Do we remember Chalabi in Iraq?  He was a cheat and a phony expatriate who we thought was the answer to Iraq’s problems.  Yesterday I read news that the people in Gaddafi’s hometown were bombed, strafed and obviously, killed.  They are civilians but of his tribe.  So, it seems that the people who are civilians but who support Gaddafi are not allowed have free speech, free politics and freedom of assembly.  Why?  because a foreign President of the USA ( The land of the free and the home of the brave) tells them they are not allowed that freedom.  The need to believe as he does and as do French and British colonial imperialists.  I really do not agree with most of what Louis Farrakhan says, but he is right to ask President Obama who the hell he thinks he is?  Indeed as President of the USA he is one of the most important world leaders.  But he is not President of the world?   And Lindsey Graham made the association of the Minutemen with the Libyan rebels.  Please Senator, do not liken the Libyan rebels to the citizen soldiers of Bunker hill and Concord, and Valley Forge.  Last word for this post.  Did any of us realize that we had such war mongers in the Congress.  Amazing to hear Senator Mc Cain and Liebermann endorse foreign interventionism.  America is not the policeman nor the savior of the world.  And for those who will quote Gaddafi about “…showing no mercy..”  Arabs are noted for exaggeration.  Remember Saddam with his Mother of all Battles speech?

Mc Cain Libermann Warmongering?

The drums of war beat loud and fast for some leaders.  It is amazing to hear Senators Libermann and Mc Cain in full support of the illegal bombing of Libya.  Today I read that Nato, ( that means American) fighters bombs Gadhafi’s home town.  Now aren’t these people innocent of any crime?  The article said that the bombs were dropped on his home town because the people there supported him.  That is just plain immoral.  The people there are free to have their political opinions.  If they want to back Gadhafi that is their “constitutional” right.  I mean, let’s be honest, we say we are for freedom of speech and freedom of political opinion but we bomb Libyan people BECAUSE they exercise their freedom to support whomever political leader they want to support.  But it is not the leader that Obama says they are allowed to support.  So, we are bombing them.  Likewise, I read that we strafed and bombed Gadhafi’s troops, tanks and armored personnel for the purpose of allowing the rebels to gain control of a city and to regain control of another.  A few days ago the President and his spokespeople  said that it was unfair for Gadhafi to have tanks and troops and armored personnel carriers and we were going to ” level the playing field.”  But now the rebels have our planes and bombs in limitless supply while we force Gadhafi forces to have no planes and we wantonly destroy his tanks and helicopters.  So now, I ask, who has the unfair advantage and that unfair advantage is not even Libyan it is foreign. And even worse, it is the colonialist imperialist forces of France and England and shamefully, American. Now, on Meet the Press we even hear a Senator  say that we should support the internal unrest in Syria, seek to over throw the Syrian government and if needed bomb Syria and put boots on the ground in both Syria and Libya.  This writer wants to know if the good Senator thinks we should pour down bombs upon Mecca in Saudi Arabia, a tyranical monarchy and and should we also bomb Palestine a home to Hamas and while we are at it, maybe a few cruise missiles should be shot at Lebanon and Hezbollah? The warmongering of President Obama is amazingly brazen.  These are American planes paid for with American dollars and American pilots on the US military payroll and Congress which is the ONLY part of the US government under the Constitution which is allowed to declare war is not even consulted!!  Instead the warmongers consult NATO in Brussels, (the new world order headquarters) and the Arab league, (who the hell are they?) and the United Nations, (the historic new world order headquarters.)  And what did we seek from them?  We asked their permission.  And once the US President got their permission our overly aggressive President told us lie and lie as he pursued a bellicose war path of wanton destruction upon the five million people of Libya, all the while denying an attempt to kill Gadahfi and declaring that our effort is humanitarian.  Well, what is humanitarian about a war waged against the sovereign state of Libya?  Should the USA be cavorting with the ugly colonialist imperialist regimes of England and France against an Arab  nation?  Well, enough said on that.  Now to the outflanking of the Congress as the President takes to the public broadcasting system to force the Congress to approve his constitutionally illegal action by appealing directly to the public.  I hope the people will reject the President’s facile manipulation of his power to dictate another war and one which is plainly raw aggression.

Is Syria Next to Fall?

The Obama administration is either oblivious to the north Africia revolution’s potential to create a Muslim Arab Caliphate or it is assisting in the creation of such a thing!  Granted, the area could use new leadership but the destruction of Libya and the destabilization of all of North Africa is not the way to do it.  Rather, this observer is amazed at the organized consistency of the so call spontaneous uprising of the peoples.  There is just too much sameness and too much regularity in the process, which is consistently starting with peaceful citizen protests and rallies, then followed by shooting and then a regularly correographed progression of increasingly radicalized demonstrations.  All of them are aimed at overthrowing the regimes of each of the countries.  None of them seeks reform or renewal and none is open compromise and negotiation.  They want power. They want control of each national government.  They want legitimacy so that each new revolutionary government will have access to all the resources, money and power of each nation.  They want to immediately be recognized as the legal government of that nation, so as to enjoy the sovereign rights and protections that they deny to the present governments.  It is not beyond this writers sense of the possible to see in this amazingly well organized and in the amazing sameness of each nations revolutions- it is possible to see a pattern that tells us that someone else or some other group is calling the shots and pulling the strings.  Al Qaida?  The muslim brotherhood?  Some othr nefarious group of “New World Order” zealots? Is the liberal Western Press and media being “played the fool?”  by a cynical and vicious group of international corporate criminals?  Are the Western governments and especially President Obama being duped by terrorist groups that play to his ideological zealotry?  Fearfully, our war planes and bombs may be aiding our ideological enemies and paving the way for them to seize control over the assets that they need to carry out a program of destabilization in Europe with the goal of weakening and eventually, (say twenty five years from now. (Hey they think long term!) of eventually defeating the USA?
