Obama in His Own Words

http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=tCAffMSWSzY#t=28  As I view this video I am concerned at why this information has been suppressed.  Oh, Yes, I am able to get it on the Tube (at least for now) but it is not broadcast and this part of President Obama’s story has successfully be covered up.  There is so much about the President that we do not know and this very troubling video indicates that his real agenda is much more influenced by “…my Islamic faith…” than it is by his love for America.  At times, as I listened, I wondered if he had anything good to say about anybody other than Moslems and Islam.  It would seem that Mr. Obama sees it as his duty to promote, extend and defend the religion of Islam as being, “…from the beginning of our nation…”  a vital part of the development of Democracy and the Constitution.  Is this some kind of academic dribble from Harvard?  It may be it is that because the Harvard of today, founded and funded for two hundred years by Christian Congregationalists is already divided between the secular anti Christian University and the modernist revisionist liberal protestant Theological School.  I would not be surprised if a student of the secular Harvard was taught that Islam and Moslems were as important, or even more important for the founding of Western European civilization and the same for the founding of the USA than our Judaeo Christian founders.  At any rate, this is must watching for anyone who wants to know about President Obama in his own words.  Yes,  this is an edited video but the portions shown cannot be ignored or excused by a claim against the editors.  After all, the words are Obama’s words and no one else’s.  Judge for yourself, dare to watch the video.  Is Obama lying to us about everything?  For ther Bush haters, just remember how you regarded President Bush and ask if your judgements are not duplicitous?

Paul Ryan in his Own Words

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwp&NR=1&v=8Bib7kKBhqs

This is a really great video and I do mean great.  Why?  Because it gives us Paul Ryan in his own words.  A lot of people are saying what they think Paul Ryan is saying.  Many others are giving us their opinions of what they think he is saying.  Today, even some of the panelists on Bret Braier (Fox) seemed not to actually know the facts about what Congressman Ryan believes regarding the fiscal crisis in USA.  Well, there is no excuse for not knowing exactly what Representative Ryan is saying because of You Tube.  There are hundreds of video’s of Mr. Ryan speaking at a host of venues and clearly articulating exactly what he says and definitively what he means.  Besides, Mr. Ryan is nice to look at, he has a pleasant voice and a dynamic style as he makes his case for fiscal responsibility.  Be informed and do not let others do your thinking for you.

George W. Bush is not President

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/george-w-bush-favorable-rating-lowest-living-president-100010623.html  A piece of true trivia.  He is not President any longer.  He is retired and although I am sure he has influence, he has decided that the most important thing now is his Presidential Library.  I liked the man and I approved of his Presidency and under normal circumstances I would enumerate why I feel that way, I will not.  Why?, because the writers of articles like this and the survey behind them do not care to analyze the reasons for the respondent’s opinions.  What do you like and what do you not like?  Why do you like this or that?  What actions or inactions did you approve or disapprove?  All of these things are lost in this kind of report because CNN and the surveyors just measure popularity.  Do you like him or not like him?  Hey, let’s all be fair and admit that in our job or family or community or even church, that there are people who simply do not like us.  They may not know us.  They may not ever have spoken to us.  They may not know anything about what we think and why we think it.  But they do not like us.  It is like when we were children and there were kids on the block that everybody knew were not likeable.  And there were kids in the school playground that everybody knew were not to be played with.  And in the classroom, everybody knew not to talk to this person or sit at the same table with that person.  Childish? Obviously!  Sadly, such things among children can lead to abuse and bullying.  The young girl in South Hadley, Massachusetts, who committed suicide was a victim or being disliked because everybody knew that she was not to be liked.  We reject such thinking as dangerous for children.  Is it dangerous for a nation.

Paul Krugman’s Comments A Fraud?

http://news.yahoo.com/paul-krugman-paul-ryan-budget-romney-supports-fraud-181245136–abc-news-politics.html  Maybe it is not Mr. Krugman’s analysis that is fraud.  Maybe it is the reporting.  What this article says is that Mr. Krugman’s opinion is that Representative Ryan’s plan is not a plan and that President Obama’s plan is a plan.  Now to say that Rep. Ryan’s plan is a fraud is to say that the Ryan plan is based on lies.  Mr. Krugman tried to disarm his own biting criticism by saying that he is not personally attacking Mr. Ryan, but that he is just saying that the plan Mr. Ryan put forward is a fraud.  I think a fraud is a lie and therefore a person who puts forth a fraud is a liar.  Is that reasoning flawed?  I am just trying to get to the facts and not the spin.  Then we read that Mr. Krugman is in favor of the Obama plan.  He says that is a plan he understands.  He does not comment on the validity of the Obama plans numbers, approach or process.  So, I take it he likes the plan.  So, what we have here is a report about Mr. Krugman saying he doesn’t like the Ryan plan and therefore Mr. Ryan’s plan is a fraud and by inference, Mr. Representative Ryan is a liar.  And that Krugman likes the President’s plan and therefore Mr. Obama is not a liar.  Seems to me that the liar and fraud here is Mr. Krugman, who makes broad accusations against a U.S. Congressman and excuses the President.  How to solve this?  Take Mr. Obama’s own words to heart and instead of name calling and innuendo just say plainly, I, (Mr. Klugman) do not agreed with the Ryan plan for this and that (specific) reason and I agree with the Obama plan for this and that reason.

Romney being helped by the Voters

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/mitt-romney-gets-personal-campaign-trail-hopes-connecting-113125981.html  I really like this story and I appreciate the reporting skills of the reporter.  I also appreciate the editors who allowed this wonderful story to be published.  The key ingredient for me was that the voters are helping Romney.  I served in the US Army for thirty years and we had a slogan which I think was the best.  It said, “Be All that You Can Be!”  The essence of the slogan was that a person had personal traits that distinguished them from others.  These were the traits of the individual’s personal success.  The Army was not going to give these traits to the soldier.  He or she already had the traits.  The Army would release them, nurture them, and focus them so that the individual could “Be All that They Could Be.”  In this article about Governor Romney, we see that the voters see within the man unique character traits that they want him to release.  Therefore, the people in the audiences are happy when he allows himself to be himself.   Reading the article, I too, found this side of Governor Romney delightful.  However, I am in favor of Romney not because of his likeability, we had that with candidate Obama and we elected a likeable ideologue who seeks to fundamentally change the USA.  I am sure the supporters of Franco, Salazar, Mussolini, Hitler and Stalin all convinced themselves that their leaders were  likeable.  But we know them as tyrants.  I am in favor of Romney because of his experience as a Governor, entrepreneur, and very successful businessman.  The USA is a nation in need of a lover of the USA who wants to restore our great business system instead bashing it and the captains of its industry.  For myself, I intuited that the man Romney was a man of faith, a husband to a sick wife, and a father to well-adjusted children.  I thought it to be obvious and I was not surprised that candidate Romney was all business during business hours.  Frankly, that is what I want in my President, a leader who knows how to work.  I could care less about his basketball picks or his golfing skills.  And to the latest jab that Romney built an elevator in his mansion.  Good for him.  He spent his own money, thereby helping the manufacturer, wholesaler, and installers plus all the ancillary producers of the expensive product.  And Obama?  He spends 179 thousand dollars of taxpayer money every time he takes the nation’s jet, US One,  to his personal campaign fund-raising events.  It is time for a change in Washington and it is this writers hope that Romney will choose Rep. Paul Ryan as his Vice President.  Why?  Because although the Presidency of the Senate is largely ceremonial, there is nonetheless, enough power in that position to allow Ryan’s economic genius to flourish as he gets significant financial and economic programs through a “dead on arrival” Harry Reid slaughterhouse.

17 Trillion Obamacare Costs Discovered

http://news.yahoo.com/another-17-trillion-surprise-found-obamacare-133210667.html  Put simply, this insane spending bill must be repealed by the Congress and better and smaller bills passed.  This 2700 page legislation brings disaster.  If we elect a new Senate this Fall and the new Senators are committed to repealing Obama care entirely and then starting over to sanely approach our nation’s medical care needs, we will be better off as a country.  The downfall of the USSR was because they could no longer afford the enormous expenses of the cold war, of a large standing military and the wasteful communist economic system.  Greece, Spain, Portugal, and Ireland, although much smaller countries suffered from over spending and without massive outside help would have destroyed their economies.  There is no one, not even the Chinese, who will help the USA get out of the tens of trillions of spending under Obama care.  So, add it all up and the end of USA is near, not in an apocalyptic earthquake but in an economic self-destruction. Since the gridlock in the USA is caused by a Senate leadership that refuses to allow the Republican House of Representative to pass a budget, and since the leader of the Senate has consistently declared all Republican sponsored solutions to the nation’s needs to be “dead on arrival,” we need to give the Republican party a majority in the Senate in order to get out of the do nothing state of affairs caused by a President who says that he wants to rule without the consent of Congress and a Senate that blocks all Republican attempts to solve our nation’s problems.  By the way, the House of Representative defeated the Presidents proposed budget for the fourth time.  The latest vote was 414 against.  That says a lot about the foolishness of Obama’s proposal and the sincerity of the House of Representatives.  The Senate also consistently turned down the Obama proposed Budgets.  But the Senate also has consistently turned down House budgets.  The bottleneck to progress seems to be the White House and the Senate.

USA Intervention prolongs Tyrany and Prevents Democracy

It is this authors opinion that the progress of democracy is inevitable.  I also believe that it is the best form of government for all people’s worldwide.  Additionally, I wholeheartedly support efforts to educate, advocate and promote peaceful democracy worldwide.  However, war is a terrible thing and as we learned in our own Revolution and Civil War a great many people die prematurely for something which is so inevitable that we do not need bloodshed for its achievement.  And for those conservative pundits who argue with me on this, well!  Have you been in the US military?  Is your child in the US military?  Have you been confronted with the agony of mobilization and deployment?  Yes, I have and so have my children.  So, before we go wrapping everything in the flag, let’s talk. Okay.

Democracy has many forms, including limited democracy such as a real monarchy, and on to parliamentary democracy and a Republic like the USA.  However,  there is not one form that fits all societies.  A tribal system such as Libya and Iraq may not be historically, culturally or ethnically suited for USA style democracy.  Rather, ethnic, cultural, religious and societal uniqueness may require that democracy be tailored to the local situation.

And I completely agree that many societies in the Middle East of our world are seeking a greater form of democratic society.  However, in distinction from my colleagues, I suggest that democracy was and is inevitable in these societies and that the modern interconnected Internet world, would and will, sooner than later, achieve that democracy, worldwide.  However, in many countries and societal situations the so-called “powerful” need to learn the new methods of power and government.  It is my belief that they would have, and they will learn the modern way without violence, bloodshed and death.  It is inevitable.

But, many object, that in the societies of the Middle East, it is taking too long.  First, I ask you, if you are a citizen of the country you criticise?  If not, shut up.  It is none of your business and don’t spout the crap about “you are your brothers keeper”.  When you leave your USA armchair and travel to the streets of the struggle and face the bullets, then maybe, and only maybe, then you will have a little right to speak.  Hey, brother, please don’t tell me what I must die for.  You die in my place, okay? And then, I will religiously lay a wreath at your grave. Deal?

It is this author’s opinion that much of the violence and the death happening worldwide and especially in the Mid East is caused by geopolitical aims and seeks to falsely use democracy as the excuse for the extension of a western economic imperial model that has nothing to do with the “quality of life” of the protagonists and a lot to do with the wealth and continued economic imperialism of western governments and corporations.

Rather, let’s not arm the rebels.  Let’s educate them on civil organization and political reality.  But, you say, that we tried that and it failed.  Did it?  In my opinion, it did not fail. It simply did not meet our expectations.  We will need to extend our timelines and get real about what is possible now and what can only be achieved later.

Friends, I will not dictate that for which you must die.  Rather, I will do everything I can to promote your freedom within the context, society and culture in which you live.  In the end, the result will be the same because freedom and I believe, democracy, are inevitable.

China to Take Trillions from America

This article was sent to me via e-mail and I share it with you because I have read Porter Stanberry and he is very often right on target.  He is not a prophet nor the son of a prophet but he does considerable research on the financial markets and his world view is large enough to allow him to see major trends before they are obvious to the general public.  Of late Porter has been very worried about the welfare of the US citizen and the financial future of our nation. He is a red-blooded America and he loves his country.  However, his projections are dire warnings that we need to be more business like in our government.  Read what he has to say.

Obama’s Parenting is not the Issue

http://news.yahoo.com/obama-blames-gop-failure-hit-d-c-social-140554699.html Obama makes a statement during this interview that he is a father and a parent and that his obligation to his family keeps him away from the “…Washington social scene.”  This is absurd. The WH is one big party after another starting with the big fantasy party for the Hollywood actors which he kept hidden for fear of public criticism.  Obama is the golfing, basketball, party, vacation, President.  So, in this writers opinion, such a claim by the President is just plain silly.

However, the bigger issue is President Obama’s continued refusal to see his own, “I will veto it.” stance as the problem.  Again and Again, the President says that he will not sign any legislation that does not give him exactly what he wants.  He has also repeatedly refused to implement legislation that he does not like and retards progress on other programs that would employ Americans.  His refusal of the oil pipeline deal with Canada is the latest example of his personal intervention to block progress.

We need to add that his own Democrat Party under former Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to allow anything to get done exept his Obama Care legislation which consumed the energy of the Congress totally during his first two years.  The Democrats refused to propose a Budget. They refused  to hold examination hearings of  any (there actually were a few) appointments by Obama. They tabled (a form of refusal to talk about something) any legislation that might take time away from the Obama Agenda.  All of the Democrat actions in the Congress have been to block anything Republican and that was the cause of Congressional gridlock.  I remember Greta Van Sustern asking Rep. Paul Ryan if Speaker Pelosi ever talked to him or any other Republican during her term. His answer was a blunt, “…No she does not speak with us, only very occasionally through intermediaries and the public press conference…”

Then and now, we also need to remember the Senate Majority leader Harry Reid’s weekly refrain of “Dead on Arrival” for every piece of Republican sponsored legislation sent to him by the House of Representatives.

Add it up.  Democrat Nancy Pelosi does not even bother to talk to the Republicans. Democrat Harry Reid says about their proposals, ” Dead on Arrival.”  And President Obama says about their legislative agenda, “I’ll veto it.”  So, who is responsible for such poor relations with Congress?  Surely, any alert person can add many more public statements by Democrat leaders which indicate that the Republicans had better do it the Democrat way or forget about getting anything done.  By the way, I think the Pelosi House of Reps did not propose or pass any budget during her term.  Also, I think that it is now over nine hundred days since the Democrats in the Senate have proposed a budget.

President Obama would do much better for the nation if he would stop partying, stop golfing, stop B Balling, stop vacationing, and stay home with the kids.  Maybe then he could get some office work done and stop leaving the running of the government to Valerie Jarrett.
