Limbaugh Innocent But Are Jon Steward, Keith Obermann, David Letterman, and Rachel Maddox?

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/02/10561783-boehner-calls-limbaugh-remarks-inappropriate

The uproar over this so-called outrage is a lot of wind about nothing.  I listened to the Limbaugh show and although I found Mr. Limbaugh’s analogies a little surprising, he in no way called the person individually a slut.  What he did is what a lot of social commentators do and that is to use satire for effect.  He also used hyberole for effect as well.  And although sometimes Rush Limbaugh’s hyperbolic satire is uncomfortable, it is not done as a personal attack, has no personal animosity to it, and often highlights the silliness of our society as the society deals with such concepts as birth control and abortion.  What I heard Mr. Limbaugh say was that a student at Georgetown Roman Catholic Law School said that on a coed campus, students have such active sex lives that the cost of contraception can run over one thousand dollars a year.  Then, Mr. Limbaugh stated that the student felt that it is the responsibility of society and health insurers to pay for such contraception.  Then Mr. Limbaugh carried it further to wonder if under Obama Care therefore, it is the citizens who pick up the tab for the promiscuous students who have such active sex lives that contraception is so expensive.  By extension therefore, he mused if a student who has regular sexual encounters with fellow college students could be called a slut?  He then went forward to wonder if all the male counterparts are also, Johns.  Then he extended it to the idea if the citizens pay for the contraception, then are the citizens the pimps.  Indeed, Mr. Limbaugh did use the student’s name repeatedly and said he could  do so because her statements was on the public record.  I mentioned Jon Steward in the title because of his comments concerning President Bush during Mr. Bush’s Presidency.  I could also refer to the highly personal and offensive remarks of Keith Obermann over Mr. Bush’s manhood and masculinity during the time Mr. Bush was President of the USA.  I also recall highly personal and offensive remarks made against Mr. Bush by Rachel Maddox when she was on TV.   Neither Jon Steward, Keith Obermann, nor Rachel Maddox intended their remarks to be hyperbole or satire. Rather, those remarks and the nightly crassness of David Letterman during the Bush Presidental terms were intended to be personally affronting and mean-spirited criticism of our elected President.  This writer is sorry that Speaker Boehner felt it necessary to add his voice to this tempest in teapot high dungeon drama.  It also amazes me that in a time when the word F–k is regularly used in music and when many Rap songs refer to women as whores, bitches and objects  deserving of violent abusive rape  it is obvious that the “slut” outrage is politically motivated and intended to portray as bigots those who do not want to pay for others people’s contraception

This article was sent to me via e-mail and I share it with you because I have read Porter Stanberry and he is very often right on target.  He is not a prophet nor the son of a prophet but he does considerable research on the financial markets and his world view is large enough to allow him to see major trends before they are obvious to the general public.  Of late Porter has been very worried about the welfare of the US citizen and the financial future of our nation. He is a red-blooded America and he loves his country.  However, his projections are dire warnings that we need to be more business like in our government.  Read what he has to say.

Interpol and Gadalfi

http://news.yahoo.com/gadhafi-son-denies-interpol-allegations-170354685.html

I have gotten a lot of flak for my defense of the Libyan Government.  And YES it is still the Libyan government recognized, until France and Britain and the USA waged wage against it, bombed its cities and its citizens into submission and imposed its own Paris based (read the history of these guys.please) puppet goverment it   yes, I am disgusted by the lemming nature of USA people to buy into the propaganda of the news media. For instance, the media says it found the grave of one thousand convicts slain by the Libyan government but this is not affirmed by the International Red Cross and other agencies, therefore in admissible ..hey fair is fair…Cameron and Sarkozy have the gall to fly to Libya in a show of victory over the legal government of Libya…how did they win, they won by deception and conspiracy with the United Nations to save the civilians of Libya while they actually used the cover of resolution 1973 to wage brutal illegal aggression against Libya and bombed and destroyed the cities and roads and infrastructure of a modern Libya, WHY…OIL, OIL,  OIL..Get real… And the Western secular governments of France and Britain and the USA have used every “legal” tactic to dis credit the legal Libyan government of Gadalfi…hey, I am NOT a fan of the man, but facts are facts, and this writer does not buy the propaganda of lazy lamestream media reporters who never leave their safe hotels rather they report from the drinking bar…get real folks that is what is happening…And now, we have foolish Senator Mc Cain running to Libya on the American taxpayers back and having him proclaim that we, (translated to mean the American Taxpayer) must be committed to the so-called revolutionary government …(translate that to mean that the US Congress is going to send billions of US tax dollars to Libya).  Now maybe, if the billions of US tax dollars could be shown to feed the hungry and clothe the naked and house the homeless, Okay!  But let’s get real. The billions will be used to increase the bank accounts of the new rulers of Libya and fill their Paris based coffers with American gold while we in USA are jobless and under Obama, becoming homeless.

Obama Jobs Speech is Phony

http://news.yahoo.com/obama-slams-republicans-west-coast-money-swing-042354630.html

We keep reading about the President going here and there aboard Air Force One.  These are not affairs of State.  All reporters acknowledge that the travels are political fund-raisers and that the trips are getting millions of dollars for the re-election campaign of the President.  Fine.  However, the American Taxpayer should not pay for the political activities of the President.  How much does one round trip to California cost?  I understood that one round trip to California cost 56o thousand dollars.  Well, I do not the Prez. to go unprotected, but since these are fundamentally political campaign trips I think that the Congress should demand that the Democrat party pay the bill.  After all, it is Obama who is constantly criticizing the corporate executives for using company Jets for legitimate business purposes, saying that the CEO of Ford, and Kellogg, and Johnson and Johnson should fly first class or coach on public aircraft.  Okay!  What is good for one is good for the other.  The President should be severely limited in the use of Air Force One and required to prove that his use of the Jet is not for private or political gain but is used for the legally mandated affairs of State.  Otherwise, he can still use the Jet, its crew, the Secret Service, the Cook, the Maid, the Valet and all the rest, but the Democrat party must pay the bill, immediately before the trip and not after.  That is all we need, a late bill to the Democrat party, which, they will claim is Bush’s fault and therefore they are not responsible and cannot pay.  And one more thing, the President has given speeches for several weeks now that the Republicans must pass his jobs bill.  Well, if you note, today was the first day that the actual written bill was presented to the Congress.  How can the Congress even discuss a Bill they have not even seen.  The Obama White House needs to have a remedial lesson in how to get legislation passed.  It starts with writing the Bill. It continues with submitting the Bill.  Then the Administration is supposed to send its experts and analysts to Congress to explain the bill and then defend it.  Without all of this constitutionally mandated process, there is no bill and therefore the Congress is prevented by Obama and his administration from passing anything. Why?  BECAUSE WITHOUT A BILL THERE IS NOTHING TO PASS. It is all phony Obama.  Sad really!

Republican Debate

The debate tonight was refreshing.  The Republican party is the party of ideas.  The Dems may try to tag the Repubs as the party of “no” but this is true only in so far as they are gutsy enough to say NO to wild-eyed,  chicken little Dems who think that throwing money at a problem will make the problem go away.  Tonight’s debate once again showed the Republican candidates in the light they deserve, namely, the light of their own beliefs, statements and planned programs.  Actually, Romney is the only candidate who has put forth a written, concrete, identifiable and investigative plan for the economy and growth of jobs.  That shows his courage, his leadership and his qualification to be President for such a time as this.  As this writer listened to the debate, my wife said, “I wish that we could have a piece of each one of the candidates.”.  I was moved in my core by this astute and deep observation.  The political process is that one of the candidates will win, after all, we cannot have eight Presidents.  Yet, we need eight Presidents.  each of the Republican candidates tonight spoke eloquently in putting forward their vision for America.  If only we could distill all of their wonderful and enthusiastic love for America into one ideal person.  Sadly, that is not realistic.  However, the fact that tonight was so inspiring and that each one of the candidates would equally, as President, love and lead America to a better and brighter future.  Well that was what?  It was good!

The Price of Food Skyrockets

While President Obama is playing politics with our future, the price of food at the supermarket is climbing.  While Obama is playing games with our tax future by pretending to tax only the rich, he is actually increasing the amount of money out of everybody’s pocket.  While Obama is taxing us 400 billion for his help the Unions job plan, the same Unions plan on spending billions of dues collected from these tax payer funded union jobs. On What will they  spend the collected dues?  They will spend the tax funded dues to campaign for the election of Obama to a second term.  Then he can propose to tax us again to kept the union workers working while the rest of us lose our jobs, take a pay cut in the form of higher taxes.  Or if he actually does get elected, and the Republicans lose control of the House of Representatives, we will see the USA enter the final death crisis of a bankrupt economy that has printed too much money, owes foreign nations too much interest and a country that has regulated and taxed its citizens into perpetual poverty.

New Candidates for Public Office

… Subject: Charley Reese’s final column for the Orlando Sentinel… Who do you think is really responsible for the acknowledged 14.3 trillion deficit? A very interesting column.. It is a Congress bashing indictment that seems to exonerate the President but it is a good read to see how some people are willing to set the blame on one side and let the other side get away with irresponsibility.  You can find the entire article online.  I use only a portion of it for be=revity and because I think this portion reflects the context I want to address in this blog.

…”Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does. You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country. I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress.

This might be funny if it weren’t so true. Be sure to read all the way to the end: Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table, At which he’s fed. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule. Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts anyway! Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think. Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries Tax his tears. Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ass. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won’t be done Till he has no dough. When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more, Tax him till He’s good and sore. Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he’s laid… Put these words Upon his tomb, ‘Taxes drove me to my doom…’ When he’s gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply The inheritance tax. Accounts Receivable Tax Building Permit Tax CDL license Tax Cigarette Tax Corporate Income Tax Dog License Tax Excise Taxes Federal Income Tax Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Fuel Permit Tax Gasoline Tax (currently 44.75 cents per gallon) Gross Receipts Tax Hunting License Tax Inheritance Tax Inventory Tax IRS Interest Charges IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax) Liquor Tax Luxury Taxes Marriage License Tax Medicare Tax Personal Property Tax Property Tax Real Estate Tax Service Charge Tax Social Security Tax Road Usage Tax Recreational Vehicle Tax Sales Tax School Tax State Income Tax State Unemployment Tax (SUTA) Telephone Federal Excise Tax Telephone Federal Universal Service Fee Tax Telephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge Taxes Telephone Minimum Usage Surcharge Tax Telephone Recurring and Nonrecurring Charges Tax Telephone State and Local Tax Telephone Usage Charge Tax Utility Taxes Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Watercraft Registration Tax Well Permit Tax Workers Compensation Tax STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.. What in the heck happened? Can you spell ‘politicians?’ I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!! GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN!!! BTW: since they are the problem, THEY will NOT be the ones to fix the problem, it has to come from “we the people” Blessings, ”

I agree with the sentiment but a rant and rage against all politicians is meaningless.  They are there and they are there to stay.  But we do not need to have the same ones year in and year out.  We the people need to get better informed about what the politicians are actually doing.  Forget what they are saying…all of that is rhetoric.  Rather, get from the Internet the voting records of your Senator and your Congressman and hold them accountable and if they do not get it straight, then campaign against them and seek to elect somebody else.  This writer is in New Jersey.  It is a strong Labor Union State and the Labor Unions spend the automatically deducted Union dues in order to conduct massive multi million dollar campaigns to keep the pro union politicians in office.  Mine are Frank Lautenberg, a man who is over seventy-five and has fifty million dollars in personal wealth.  Like Bloomberg he could buy the office (shame) with his own money.  But he doesn’t need to do that, he just needs the union bosses to pay, and they do. Frank can do whatever he wants in the US Senate and he does, as long as the Union bosses agree.  We also have Senator Menendez, who always acknowledges your letters but quickly tells you that you are wrong and then proposes to you the Union Boss line of thinking.  I do not believe that either Senator has ever been bi partisan, ever crossed the line to vote with the other guy.  Their voting record reads like a Harry Reid or Obama play book…if some legislation is initiated by Republicans it is dead on arrival or vetoed in Senate committee.  Add to them Steve Rothman another Democrat with bona Fides equaling above two.  SO WHAT?  This is what.  If you agree with the above article then get going to elect Congressmen and Senators who are more reflective of what you think should be done in America.  Dump the politicians controlled by the Union Bosses.  Dump the fifty million dollar Senator who wants to tax you because you make over 250,000 dollars income.  Stop Obama from destroying Social Security by “lowering” the one source of its income, namely the Social Security tax.

What else can you do?  Get into the Primary elections in your State and if there are no primaries get one going.  What will this do?  A primary is a direct challenge to the good old boy cronyism of the local political parties, both Republican and Democrat.  In my NJ District the Democrat party just keeps putting up those in office (obviously) and the Republicans run old boy, back room cronies who don’t stand a chance of election because they are selected just to fill the ballot and not as real possible problem solvers for the people.  Sarah Palin and Mark Levin the Tea Party movement are the big hope right now for the Primary process.  I do not mean as candidates but as educators and encouragers of the local political hopefuls.   Palin and the tea party have the knowledge and they have gained the organizational skill to run new and unknown candidates against the political hacks and Union lackeys and entrenched office holders.  We don’t need to erase the institutions of government, we need to get involved and put the right people into government.

Obama Blame Game?

President Obama set out a very political speech while insisting that he wants everybody  That of itself should tell you all you need to know.  But lets go further.  He wants to cut social security taxes for individuals and employers.  This writer believes that he wants to destroy social security.  A cut in social security will create how many jobs?  None.  A cut in Social Security will help save the Social security system?  No it will not but it will further weaken it and destroy the social security system creating the crisis he so onemindedly has pursued.  What about encouraging a systematic overhaul of the progressive tax system.  How about encouraging business to return money made by sales oversea to the USA by not taxing that money, amounting to many billions of needed investment money to be put to work in USA.  The President asked to speak to Congress.  The Congress graciously accepted his request and as is the law, it agreed at some great trouble to itself, to invite him.  But instead of a speech of was full of Leadership, Obama merely waged his bony finger in their face, and scolded them while attempting to set them up for 100% of the blame.  So, what shall the people do?  Ignore Obama.  We have this guy’s mode of operation and it is not a method of helping America but of destroying America.    Secondly, we must see beyond the Obama administrations use of phony class warfare which sets American against American. Thirdly, we need to overcome the blame game and give Congress the chance they need to correct the problem.  It is very important to note that the Congress and the Congress alone can allocate the money and reduce the deficit but that through enormous discretionary funding the Presidents, as they have in the three wars, can squander hundreds of billions of dollars annually on destruction while American dies.

Paul Ryan is the Leader America Needs

http://www.npr.org/2011/08/18/139737992/weekly-standard-paul-ryans-presidential-potential?ft=1&f=1057

We need a leader and Representative Paul Ryan is the man of the hour.  He understands economics.  He also understands the economics needed to get the USA back into play as the greatest economy in the world.  This will not only help America, it will help the world.  Yes, I am bold enough to say that a Paul Ryan Presidency will make the world a better place.

He is also a very good communicator and what he tells you is the truth.  Today we have a lot of double speak, mis-speak and down right lies.  We also have a huge amount of political theater by the ” I will veto it Obama”  and the “dead on arrival Reid.”  We need Paul Ryan because he has sound financial ideas, these ideas are part of an all encompassing plan, and if we implement the plan we will stop this double dip recession, save medicare and Social Security and put America back to work on the road to prosperity.

Paul Ryan loves America.  He is a proud citizen of our nation and he has served in our Congress with dignity and integrity.  There is little  likelihood that like Obama, Ryan would appoint people to his cabinet who, like the President, do not love America .

The names of the people who are endorsing a Ryan bid for the White House show that he would unite and strengthen the Republican party, (see names in the article).  It also indicates that Congressman Ryan enjoys across the spectrum political support.

Although I cannot promise it, I also believe that if Paul Ryan wins the nomination from Mitt Romney, that Governor Romney will commit his strong  campaign force behind a Ryan drive for the election.

Paul Ryan is a good campaigner,  and will be a match for Obama.  Paul’s love for the truth will not allow Paul’s respect for the institution of the Presidency to limit him as he refutes the smear campaign certain to be launched against him by the Obama White House.

In every area and according to every criteria, a Paul Ryan Presidency will be very good for America.  He is the leader we need.

Debt Crisis says that America is Alive and Well

http://news.yahoo.com/stab-debt-limit-deal-avert-us-default-204034740.html

Hooray, this article is not about dysfunction, it is not about childish games, it is not even about mere politics…rather it is about America and the indicators signal that the USA is very much alive and very healthy…yes, very healthy indeed!

All of this activity indicates that our people and our legislators and our leaders really do care about America.  However, this writer still wonders about President Obama, since I see that his posturing and pontificating has left Mitch Mc Connell saying that Obama needs to finally indicate what he WILL sign and we are in the game.  That is cynical on the President’s part and leaves him with just too, yes, too much power.

But today is a glorious day for America.  It is because our legislators actually DO care about America.  All of the political theater is a good thing.  It means people are willing not to shout each other down but to demonstrate according to LAW that one side is not able to bully and cripple the other side.  That is good for America.

Today is a glorious day for America because (as I address in a previous blog) The House Republicans were not betrayed by their Speaker.  Instead, they were given their fair chance to thrown a legal punch at the other side.  hooray for Politics because if one side feels helpless and disenfranchised then all is lost.

It may seem that all of this political theater is meaningless.  But, I encourage you to see it as the most meaningful thing that we could ever be doing.  How is that? It is because both sides are passionate.  That is a good thing.  Both sides believe they are right for America.  That is a good thing.  Both sides have ways to destroy the other side.  And although they do a lot of dodging and weaving and feinting and jabbing, yet, they ULTIMATELY do not really want to destroy each other.  And that is a very good thing!!

But there is another.  He sits in a house called white and he wags his finger, and he preaches and he pontificates but has shown himself to be vacuous and duplicitous.  And while the earnest partisans fight, he schemes and maneuvers and plans his next nefarious move.  He does not love the game. He does not love the nation,  He cares only about his own agenda and that agenda, surprisingly, may be to destroy the very nation over which he presides.  Why destroy it?  Because he does not love it.
