“We are in the midst of historic cultural and demographic changes,” What does that mean? And if it is true, how is President Obama the architect of cultural and demographic change? Surely, he is not the father of all those demographic people and he is not the author of their culture. Is this a reference to President Obama’s race? Isn’t that racist? Is it a reference to the Muslim influences on his life? Isn’t that also stereotyping and could be considered prejudice? Didn’t the father of modern racial attitudes say that we should judge a person by the content of their character and not the color of their skin? I am wondering how many media people see President Obama as a black man? Would MLK have preferred us to see Obama as a man who is black? What does Obama himself want? Does he think of himself as a black man or a man who is black? Can a white person think of themselves as a white person or a person who is white and what’s the difference?
Read it for yourself and decide. This is revenge politics and the USA be damned. This is an indication of total disregard for the seperation of powers and the nation be damned. This is an article that promotes Obama over everything much like the Nazi’s chanted Germany over everything. The sadness here is that the daily beast editors have nothing in their newletter about what is really good for America. Oh, Yes, I forgot, whatever the daily beast feels will make the democrat party stronger and what the daily beast editors feel will elevate Obama to the status of Ruler.

This article is exactly why they lost. It is because each individual Republican thinks of themself as being right. They do not think as a party, or a movement or a political philosophy. They think of themselves and themselves and themselves. It is amazing that the Republicans get any votes!
This writer is chagrined that the feast of sharks has already begun. The various Republican Presidential hopefuls have already fallen upon the wounded body of Mitt Romney with intentions of devouring him and demolishing everything he accomplished. You say, “Did he accomplish anything?” Yes, he moved the party to the right of center and away from the terrible defeat of Mc Cain in 2008. He moved the party out of the TEA party label into the Republican label. He sent the brand name Republican to the top of the voting chart for hundreds of millions of voters. He ran a well-funded campaign that was disciplined, on message and well run. He conducted himself and his campaign with forceful dignity and obvious integrity. He and Ryan put their all on the field of battle and they held nothing of themselves, their talent or their resources back. No, they did not win but to this writer, especially as I viewed the concession speech, they were true Americans, true Republicans and they did what all Americans admire, they did their best. Yes, they lost, but you can lose and still be a champion. And Romney and Ryan are champions.
To the point that Romney made to his donors. Well, first of all, this was a private conference call. He spoke his mind. I too speak my mind and when I write private letters to my friends, or make private phone calls to my neighbors I do not expect and I would deeply resent if what I said was broadcast. Yes, Romney is a public figure and he cannot expect immunity from the scrutiny of a public press. But why do we still not know what President Obama said during the raid on Benghazi? Why do we still not know if he ordered people to stand down or if he ordered the military to rescue the ambassador? It is because his associates do not betray his private words, they do not betray his conversations and they do not betray his trust. Obviously, many feel that what is due Obama is not due Romney. You say, “Such is life.” Well, that may be so but I don’t agree and I don’t like it.
I invite a fair and objective analysis of what Romney actually said during this call and the famous 47% call. Based upon what he considers the facts, namely that the dream act, Obama care and other actions of the Obama administration have favored certain groups above others, I would argue that Romney is merely reflecting a viewpoint shared by many others. I listened to the phone call and felt that his main thrust was that faced with the power of an incumbant to not only promise favors but to actually give those favors, a challenger has little recourse. That is a fact, in these areas an incumbant definitely has the advantage.
Lastly, the criticisms of the defeated candidate are from persons who think overly highly of themselves, are convinced of their own infallibility, and who want to be President. Therefore, their critiques are skewered to reflect positively upon themselves and position them to benefit from Romney’s defeat. What is distressing is that Romney did not treat them poorly, yet his reward for integrity is to be savaged by Christie, whom Romney chose for Keynote, by Jindal, who Romney favored with a highlight at the convention and by Gingrich who Romney defeated fair and square and who now shoots from ambush.
I think of President George W. Bush won election twice, the second election confirming the faith of the American people after the turmoil of chads and cits in Florida. He ran an honest administration without scandal. He rallied the American people after 9/11 and he led a economy which enjoyed a 4.8 % unemployment rate. We had excellent relations with Russia, China, Europe, South America, and Israel. We were respected by Arab nations as a fair and balanced nation that did unduly favor their antagonists. Yet, the Democrat campaign led by the late Senator Ted Kennedy against George Bush prevailed. Why? Not because GW Bush was a terrible president? No! That just is not the case. Rather, it is because people love to hate someone and our nation was led by Democrats into an eight year campaign of hate. It was the thing to do, the thing to say and it was definitely considered savvy to hate George W. Bush. Why? No reason but hatred. An unfounded and unearned hatred that is much to our shame persists today. Asked if they blamed Bush for our problems, pro Obama voters overwhelming said, YES. But asked what specifically he did to cause our problems, the answer was that he was President when it went into the crapper so its all his fault. None for the Democrat Congress and nancy Pelosi. None for the greed of people who purchased what they could not afford. None for the shoddy business practices of mortgage bankers or Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae. It’s all Bush’s fault and then we can go home and eat our Turkey.
The great sorrow of all of this was that Republicans then as they are now, were active participants in the blame game. They too blamed Bush for their woes. Not their fault that they did not do their job in Congress and block the excesses of a Democrat Nancy Pelosi majority. Not their fault that they did not stand up to Democrat Harry Reid. Not their fault that they lost contact with their constituents. No it was all Bush’s fault!!
I am in NJ and in my town the Republican party in the 2010 election put up a party regular in a contest against Steve Rothman, a formidable Congressman. They lost. Why? Because the Republican party was not serious. In this past 2012 election the Republican party didn’t even put up a candidate for the mayor of my town. They left the Democrat un opposed. Come on, fellas, what does it cost to at least put a name on the ballot? Why did they lose in NJ? Because the Republicans are not serious. They accept the fact that this is a Democrat State and they do not try.
It is a very sad state when a great Republican party decends to the level of sharks feeding on wounded prey. Did Santorum campaign hard for Romney? I think not. Did Gingrich constantly encourage and fire up his constituents to work and give and vote for Romney? Hardly? And Christie? He gave Obama a shameless and obsequious display of support when he hosted the President during Sandy.
So, for this writer I look to the future and it does not include these three nor Pawlenty or Santorium. They have used up their time and they have failed miserably both in the Primary and as loyal Republican supporters. They have no great vision nor higher goal, other than themselves as President. Shame. I say that with sincere sadness of heart and pain of soul.
Ryan, for me, a definite YES. Rubio, here too a definite YES. And the Governor of Virginia, I think Yes, he was out there for Romney, let’s see if he abandons ship and crew while cursing the captain.
By the way, have you read Killing Kennedy by Bill O Reilly. A really great book. It will startle you, to say the least. You may even be the type to admire the behavior therein described. I don’t. All of them are not really worthy of our admiration.
Why are Republicans blaming Republicans? Romney was their candidate. He fought through their system to come out on top. He attended their convention and submitted to their rules. He then campaigned with all his heart, mind and soul. He had tremendous stamina and got huge turnouts. He chose an excellent running mate, gave several major policy speeches which were well received and led a campaign team which was top of the line. He raised enormous money, leaving the party without bills and helping many candidates to win. What happened on election night was and is a mystery. Was it the pre votes that do not need ID? Was it buying votes in the center cities? Was it black solidary -people voting as blacks? Was it Democrats busing tens of thousands around the State to vote in different places.? Was it all of these or none of these? But one thing is sure, Mitt Romney was the best candidate the Republicans had and he was accompanied by a very popular Paul Ryan. If some Republicans and some talk show mouths want to accuse the candidate for the failure well, that is plain bull-sht. Romney Ryan won the support of 47 percent of Americans which is no small accomplishment. If anything failed it was the parrty itself, its skepticism and in many conservative hearts, a refusal to support their candidate because he wasn’t pure Conservative, or for others not pure liberal or others, not moderate enough. So they stayed home, didn’t contribute and now brazenly blame their chosen candidate for their own craven failures.
Clearly Gov. Romney was Calm, decisive, insightful and commanding. his emphasis on Peace through Strength and his refusal to second guess the President’s decision to blame Benghazi on a video indicated Romneys decision to stay large on Foreign affairs.
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/romney-vows-us-renewal-obama-big-money-month-17414909?page=2 The truth is that Obama just does not tell the truth. He says he is for the little person but he spends all of his time with Hollywood rich people, ( Cloney and friends) Corporate Executives (Chairman of GE) the Wall Street Billionaires ( Warren Buffet) and the powerful (George Soros). It amazes me that so many people insist that Obama is a compassionate lover of the middle and lower classes. He is not. He came to the White House with 900 thousand and his rich friends have helped him to turn that into 12 million. Obama is a one percenter!!! Yet, it seems that especially middle-aged white women are always at his rallies with big broad smiles and lusty cheers as though he was the man of their dreams. Well, so much for sex appeal (Likeability?) in politics. Ok for you, if that’s your thing! But please do not confuse your libido fantasy with governing the USA. Obama uses our Air Force One plane at 178 thousand dollars each trip to go to Hollywood and have lunch with Movie stars, and dinner with Rock stars and raise millions of dollars while our military personnel are being killed daily in Afghanistan and our Ambassador and two Navy seals are murdered because Obama didn’t want to insult Muslim fanatics. And when they are murdered, the Obama administration takes out an advertisement in Libya apologizing for any hurt feelings that some crackpot film maker may have caused which the Obama people said justified the outrage that led to murders. Maybe that is why more males are for Romney, he stands up for America, he stands beside those he asks to serve in the military, and he does not blame others for his own failures. We need Romney for President and not the pick of rock stars, hollywood actors and enamored middle-aged white housewives.

The Democrat convention tried to shock, insult and frighten the voters with wildly false and baseless accusations. The fact remains that we have run up an additional five trillion in debt we owe to others. We have 23 million people out of work. College students are living at home because they have large loans and no jobs or prospect of jobs. We have Obama care which will take away Medicare Advantage by 2014 when the law is fully enacted. Those who hoped for change saw it in the social area with acceptance of the concept of government paid abortion, and government paid contraception. They saw it in the military with the acceptance of gay, transgender, lesbian personnel. It also showed in increased federal lawsuits against States like North Carolina and Arizona as they attempted to protect their States against fraudulent voters and illegal immigrants. It even revealed itself in the Presidential executive orders that went behind the back of Congress to carry out Obama’s will against the enacted law and against the 535 elected representatives of the people.
The main point is that the Obama administration has not been successful in stopping our economic decline nor has it created an environment for business owners of all sizes to create jobs. Obama’s speech intimated that with better times, hopefully to come, the government will be able to create jobs. Government jobs are always paid with tax dollars. And tax dollars come from successful business and working citizens.
Obama says he will build roads and bridges. We do that already and it doesn’t solve the need of our college graduates for jobs. Infrastructure is paid with tax dollars. He says we will have better education. We already have the best in the world for the most citizens. So, if the plan, is for the Obama to allow students not to pay back their student loans, well, that is more tax dollars spent. Remember taxes come from profit-making businesses and employed workers.
But people will tell me that when we are out of the War in Afghanistan then we will lots of money. The war is paid for by loans so any money saved by bringing the troops home, the so-called peace dividend, is a fantasy and not a fact. Bottom line? Obama’s speech indicates the same failed ideas that got us into the 16 trillion dollars of debt, namely, more and more government spending and more and more government control over our lives. Question? How will he pay for it.
At first more borrowing. Then he will print more money to inflate (cheapen) our dollar. Then as the clamor from our creditors and ourselves rises, he will tax all of us. Oh, yes, he will say he is taxing only the wealthy – an old class warfare trick of communists to divide and destroy the opposition forces. And when he taxes all of us, he will smilingly tell us that we demanded it and even mandated the new taxes because we re-elected him. He will say, “you wanted it and now, I am giving it to you.”
President Obama is very good at saying empty words that are carefully selected. The intent is to encourage us to fill his words with our own meaning. But his meaning for the words is not what we intend for ourselves but what he intends to do to us. The President, facing a re-election campaign, did not deliver on his promises in the first term, he will not deliver on his promises in the second. What could we do to him in the second? I shudder in remembering, his whispered words to the Russian Prime Minister, ” Tell Vladimir, that after I win election I will be free ….” Those are very frightening words that tell us that what he says and what he intends to do are not the same.
http://news.yahoo.com/fact-check-clinton-claims-compromise-stretch-043255807–election.html The article cited speaks for itself. Congratulations. I hope to see corrections to Michelle Obama’s speech as well. After all, President Obama entered office with a net worth of a little under one million. Today, according to Internet sources, he is worth 11.35 million. You say, That is now, but Michelle talked about then. But the facts of her own Charter school for elite academic achievers and his private boarding school for privileged children belies the idea of his being just like the rest of us. Also, he went to Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard. Surely, these are not community colleges! And when she and he met they were employed at a law firm. Mrs. Obama has previously confessed that she went through college on Affirmative action. Because Barrack has litigated successfully to keep all his college records, including college applications and financial results sealed we do not know anything about the reality of his college education. But even more to the point, how did he manage a 200+ thousand dollar condo back then? And even more telling, how did he turn, let’s say, one million net worth into 12 million net worth in a mere four years? Wish I could do that and I love America and captialism. But I am always wondering if President Obama loves America, although his investment record shows that he loves captalism, at least for himself if not for the rest of us.
Went to see 2016 the movie. Mr. D Souza, the President of King’s college does a thorough job of analysis concerning Barrack Obama’s intellectual world view. It is a world view that sees the USA as a thief which steals the wealth and resources of third world nations. Mr. Obama feels that it is his job to level the playing field. How? by diminishing the wealth and financial strength of USA in favor of advancing the wealth and financial power of other countries. He has done this during his presidency by denying offshore drilling permits to USA companies and using US dollars to fund Brazilian and other concerns to drill in Brazil as direct competitors with USA firms. He has done this by denying the pipeline permit thereby weakening USA competitiveness in the oil markets. The bottom line is that President Obama does not see his job as being the advance of America but that of forcing the decline of USA world power. See the movie yourself for a thorough understanding of D’Souza’s analysis. However, be warned that it is a chilling piece of analysis that will stun you, surprise you, entertain you and ultimately cause you to wonder if Dinesh D’Souza has answered for all of us the question, “Who really is Barrack Hussein Obama and what will he do with four more years of unbridled Presidential power?” What I mention here is only a very small part of Mr. D’Souza’s examination of what makes Obama tick. For myself, I have felt from the beginning that Mr. Obama does not love America.
